Another issue that I found is that the cockpit trays edges cover the heatsinks on the sides of the esc and they also rub against the motor and power wires which could eventually cut through them. What I did was cut and dremel away some of the material to allow clearance for the wires and possibly better cooling for the esc.

The power button issue. Note the dangling due to insufficient servo tape

Note the mounting ear on the side. Losi should have utilized that but I will do so by screwing it to the chassis

Lets talk batteries. To attempt to run dual 3s or 4s packs this foam has to come off of the door

This is the max amount of room for packs measured from the sides of the battery box

These are my two hard case 4s packs stacked

They do not fit

My two 4s soft packs are a hair smaller but also do not fit.

Looks like I'm running dual 3s for now. Bummer

And what's the point in going at stupidly fast, uncontrollable speeds in a straight line anyway?

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I don't need 8s to do speed runs with this truck. I have on road cars for that. I want 8s for more capacity and run time. Also, being that I own eight 4s packs already I would prefer to save money and use what I already have, versus buying two more 3s packs specifically for this truck.

Is it against the law to run without the drivers and center console?
Here is 8s 4500mAh, no foam removed. Not sure if I'll able to remove batteries with body on without pulling on wires, which is a no no. I have a remedy though.

Your motor rpm sensors get soldered in here, I presume.

Smc 4500 90c. So far they have low ir, but they are pretty cheap batteries. I haven't ran these at all accept for a few cycles on the charger.
I'm starting with recommended reaction 3s, then reaction 3s HV, then 4s.
Funny that the hv has nearly double the ir of my other batteries, I thought it was supposed to be lower. Maybe just needs a few cycles.
