Default looking for a bag or case

hi,

my yokomo db8 has just arrived.
I am now busy building it.
But when its finished and i wanna go to the track a need to transport it.

My question:
what bag or case do you guys use.
and where did you get them from.

I saw a nice bag from yokomo but that is a lot of money

I like the hauler bags, there pricey tho. They organize your tools up top, vehicle, spare parts, manuals/set up sheets, and then 3 other droors for whatever u want. I prefer the hauler bag over the ogio bags because of the organization. Throwing everything into one big bag isn't my thing. I have the protek bag and my brother has the atomic bag. When my protek dies(2 years old still going strong) I will most likely get the atomic hauler bag.

stanley tool boxes work well as car carriers

I use this for tools, parts, etc. its great because all the small compartments are customizable with extra little dividers included. I think I got mine in store, but its much easier to find online.

this method is great if you dont really want to plop down big money on a large carrier.

Personally I use the big plastic totes that you can find at Wal Mart to put my trucks in. You can stack them without worrying about them getting crushed, and they're really cheap.

When I first started out I got a wingtote. They are cheap and can carry a lot. Check them out on ebay.

+1 here for the Wingtote. I have the deluxe truck bag and its a wonder. Only gripe is it can get heavy at times and doesnt have wheels to move around. They do sell a buggy roller and a truck roller version for a bit more than the one i bought.

The Deluxe model can fit 2 SCT's and a 2wd buggy with charger, radio, parts boxes, batteries, a gatorade(pocket for fuel but i use it as a drink holder). Its an enormous bag.

I like a plastic tote from Walmart for buggies. I have a few Short Course trucks that are to bulky for a tote but I found a wheeled bag in their luggage section that works great. I can fit one car in the bag with some clear tackle box trays that I use for spare parts, along with my charger and transmitters. It has straps on the top so I can strap another SCT to the top of it. Being able to pull it, as opposed to carrying it is great.

I like the Protek RC P-8 1/8th Buggy Super Hauler Bag part number PTK8000. Holds a lot and has lasted 3 years so far and looks like it can go another 3 years. Just don't abuse it.

That's a $200 bag, not what the original poster wants or asked for. He stated that the Yokomo bag was expensive, and the Protek is no better.

This is exactly what he needs.

Thanks for posting that link. I ordered one and it came in yesterday and I started organizing it last night, I will be able to take alot more stuff with me compared to my old method. The boxes are made from coroplast which is basically plastic cardboard, I have sheets of coroplast here that I plan to cut and put in the sides so the bag doesn't collapse when I pull the boxes out. Here's some pics so far, I made a divider out of coroplast and put it in with hot glue to keep my sct from sliding around and to help contain the other items I put in there. I still haven't figured out what's going in with the buggy and the third box will be all tires.

I tried ordering that bag recently and was told that I could only select local pickup because it was too big or too heavy.

I had the same issue so I bought mine off eBay from the hobbyking store but I think I bought the last one. It cost more but was totally worth it.
