Bringing up old issues of Dirt and Track, does anyone remember the plans/tutorial they had in one issue for making your own plywood pit box?

If anyone has got that issue and would be willing to scan and upload the article I'd be super grateful.

Right, found the issue, issue 2, Oct - Nov 1987.... wow, some of you do have good memories!!!!

Will try and scan here in the office today... if that doesn't work out (TIFF scanners suck), then will scan to .JPG tonight from home and publish.

Wow, I can remember charging batteries using a clock work type charger and multi meter to tell when they were at peak volts.

Actually I still have the same multi meter that is in the pic with the kid.

Thats a beauty that pit box.... Yes i too can remember the clock type timer to charge batteries. Seemed like forever when you were waiting for them to charge.

And that's back when batteries were 1200 to 1400mAh. Imagine charging that way with the capacity batteries we have now. it would take 3 hours to charge.

How technology has changed over the years.

I still have one very similar from when I raced as a kid. I was close to breaking it up just yesterday as it is taking up floor space
