Hey everyone,

There are changes going on at the Mushroom Bowl. We would like some volunteers to come out today (Wednesday) in the afternoon to come help us with some items, like cleaning out the shop and going through some old R/C stuff.

I know it's short notice, so if you can't make it, don't feel bad. If you have some free time and would like to help out a bit and get a sneak peak at the changes we've made this week, please feel free to come anytime during the day. We can find something for you to do. There will be a slightly larger group showing up after 5PM, too.

If you thought I was kidding about the changes, you've only been kidding yourself.

Here's a picture of Joe acting dainty...

Bathroom in the middle of a retrofit. The toilet is one of those high/lo flow units to save on water usage.

More coming soon... stay tuned!

Default what about the promise

Mr. Lee promise that this year we would be racing 1/5 scale baja on dirt. Is there any truth to what Darryl is saying?

Unfortunately, the land that our landlord had available for us to build a 1/5 baja track has been leased to someone else, so our planned location is no longer available. That being said, if anyone is interested in 1/5 Baja racing, please let me know by posting in this forum. If there is enough interest, we can examine options for altering the offroad track to allow 1/5 to run on it as well.

I am interested in running 1/5 scale HPI baja buggy class in an Off Road Class I hope there are others that will support it.

I cant wait to be the first to leave an upper decker! Someone was already kind enough to leave the lid off the back of the tank.

A lot of guys last year ran calibers on the sc10 and had good luck. the jconcepts subcultures are good too and work extremely well if you like to hang the back end out and slide through the turns. i love those tires on the oval.
Based on our last conversation about the track, these tire combos would be a good place to start. I don't think we're going to be significantly changing the dirt this year.

Time for some more pics....

The pit area has been neglected for a long time... now it's ready for a cleaning and a refresh.

Ross and Joe washing the floor.

Ross is using a powerwasher on the floor while Joe and Steve squeegee the water towards the door.

Merrill putting down the first coat of new paint on the floor.

Steve powerwashing the benches, they will also get new paint...

Painting of the benches in progress. Grey tops, white bottoms. This is with the primer on the bottom only...

Hopefully tomorrow we will finish the gloss coat on the bottom of the benches and be able to move them into the pit area. If you show up, you can give us a hand to move stuff. Track is a mess, we just need to tidy it up a bit. We'll be there at 10AM.
