I got a beater car too, just picked up a new chassis to replace the current one for the beater. I have a new car for TCS racing with fresh new parts.

Speaking of f201 bodies. Can I go in direct to Tamiya HQ customer service and pick up a new f201 body? or do I have to order it? Or do any local hobby shops have some?
thanks

You can go to customer service but you will be paying full retail price on the body. The best bet is the local hobby shop

Also plan on some weird weather. Yea I know it's southern cali, but it doesn't always shine here. ie. the Reedy Race, drizzled on start day. Weird

This TCS is is going to be huge. I hope everyone behaves themselves on the track. I hate it when your testing tires or a setup change and a mini gets in your way on the straight, while you check-up for him, a GT1 car or another car is full wood and slams into you. I'm all for timed sessions for practice on Saturday. We use to do that when we had nitro and tamtechs on track. There's alot of question marks in the air, and hopefully by Saturday they'll all be sorted out.

I'll have to agree with you. I really don't need to be breaking all my spare F201 arms. I'm thinking about using the front fiberglass brace and making my setup from there. It sucks using that thing but what else can ya do when your getting smashed into while braking into a corner...I guess not brake and launch the car. Ooh well what to do....
I bet the F201 class is going to be huge. I just painted a new body, nothing great but hey its the thought that counts.

George,
I would think that the change to 24-degree stock motors should keep those racers with the trigger finger that only moves one direction in check.
I will be interested in seeing which motor config. people use. P2K with the high speed gears or the new Monster with the standard gears? It will be entertaining regarless with 40+ entries.
As for me I'll be standing on the curb watching the parade go by...in GT3 that is.

GT3 is going to be fun, "run what you brung" as Rod would say it. I'm using this class to calm the nerves down a bite before running the gaunlet in F201.
40+ cars in F201, that's insane in te mebrane, what is this TCS going to be like the F201 nationals or something?
All I know is I'm "all in" this class, I got my T-car to run on Saturday and then run the"race car" on Sunday. Three sets of tires with all different insert ideas , two race bodies F2002 and a FW24 and in top of that my new MOAB and tire warmers are in the hands of FedEX right now.
It's going to be one of those o'dark early deals on Sunday
