Hello one and all,

This is a quick announcement. The upcoming 702 Raceway TCS race in Las Vegas, Nevada will be using the NEW Tamiya “RIDE” SC-33M spec pre-mount tires for the M-chassis class for their event. We have run out of the Tamiya S-Grip Radial tire at the moment and cannot supply 702 Raceway the Tamiya S-Grip Radial at this time. Re-Stock is not expected until after the 702-TCS race weekend. Luckily, we do have the tire that we have been intending to use at this year’s TCS Nationals Finals. 702 Raceway has been supplied with this tire and it is to be the SPEC TIRE for their event. We apologize for the short notice, but we feel you will enjoy the added performance the RIDE tire provides Tamiya’s M-Chassis cars. They perform very well and have long wear characteristics.

Note: These tires will only be available for purchase at 702 Raceway. They are not available for sale on our website at this time. TAMIYA RIDE SC-33M

Default GT Pro Spec Battery

Hello. I will be racing my first TCS race in May. Is there a specific battery or type that is required in the GT pro spec class? Thank you.

As per the Tamiya rules for 2019

1. Any ROAR approved Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) battery may be used for any TCS class.

Check the ROAR approved Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) battery list here:

http://www.roarracing.com/approved_lipo_batteries.php

2. Sport Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh batteries are legal for TCS racing. (these do not need ROAR

approval)

3. TCS legal Lithium-Polymer (Li-Po) must be 7.4/7.6 volts 2S-1P/2P specification or 4.2

1S for 1/12 scale racing.

4. NOTE: Despite the ROAR approved list, Sport Packs (round HARD case Lithium-

Polymer (Li-Po) batteries) may be used on Tamiya models where only a round case

battery will fit. This type of battery does not need to be ROAR approved.

5. LIPO Battery TECH rules: In the interest of safety and fairness, all LIPO batteries

will be volt metered during TECH Inspection. LIPO batteries exceeding 8.44 volts (2S

packs) and 4.22 (1S packs) will not be allowed to race on the track until they have

been discharged to meet the 8.44 or 4.22 rule. Furthermore, all battery packs may not

exceed 10 degrees above ambient temperature. You will not be allowed to race with

“HOT” battery packs.

6. All LiPo batteries must be charged in a LiPo sack at all TCS events!

7. Any battery connector is allowed to be used in all classes.

If you go here

https://www.tamiyausa.com/tcs/rules/
you can view and download the current TCS rules, hopefully it will answer most of your questions.

I love Tamiya servosavers but I'm hoping for better ones out there. I went up 2 months ago, broke in tires, and ran some laps. I also had a practice shesh at TQ, so save me a spot or two! I'm going to try to rally some guys to go up with me.
