My guess is this order that’s coming in to Reedy will be a large order that should get them back in good shape for a while.

My money is on a hand full of racers will buy up all the new stock, leaving everyone else still scrambling to find a motor. The sad thing is these Ready ft motors burn up easily. #checkyourtemps

Thats the unfortunate part of spec motor racing...buy 10 and pick 3...sell the rest. I hope the restock is 100s of motors...that’s what is needed at least.

We run the Reedy and Hobbywing FT 21.5 in our 21.5 TC class. Both run equally as well on a 100 x 48 black carpet track and the gearing is between 2.75 and 3.15 FDR. The Hobbywing motors run cooler then the Reedy motors. I have seen numerous Reedy motor release their Magic Smoke.

Fred did say last week there will not be a shortage issue. Tamiya does have a close relationship with Reedy.

Me and a buddy refuse to buy a junky FT motor for one race. Very disappointed that I can't run in my local TCS race. I haven't run a TCS race for 7 years or so and just got back into indoor racing this winter at my local track. I'm supposed to buy one or two Reedy FT motors for one race a year? We're just average racers looking to have fun, we're not going to win even with a good motor. This is stupid. Also stupid is all the sponsored drivers in F1, etc.

I absolutely feel your pain but I think the solution is to try a spec FT motor class at your track. It's become one of the largest at ours and if that happens at your track you won't be buying the motor for just one race.
