PS. You'll know who I am. Just look for the guy who has no idea what he's doing.
You might want to give a better description of yourself because I have no idea what I'm doing neither!

Welcome to on road @ H30 buddy!

The CRC Gen X 10 and the Associated 10r5 are the most popular. There are a few other brands running as well.

The nice thing about racing WGT at H30 is, both CRC and ASC have top notch drivers who are very willing to help out with setup/tuning. You're set with either brand.

I prefer the CRC just because that's the 1/12 I bought, and most of the parts are interchangeable. Not positive if that is the case with ASC, although I don't see why not...

BSR, CRC and Jaco all make a spec WGT tire. My personal preference is the Jaco but they are hard to come by right now.

Tveten's car should have the inline front axles already on the car. A good setup is Sean Cochran's Vegas setup. I ran nearly the same setup last weekend at TZ. At the hanger you will need to run lighter oil(try 30w in both to start) and probably a softer center spring(blue or silver).

As a follow up Maybell should also have some WGT tires in the tub. Also check with RC Hobbies or Redmond Hobbytown to see if they have them in stock. Wes may also have them in stock up in Everett.

thanks for the replies guys!

one more WGT general question. so no i am new to the whole lipo thing, but tooling around rtech i see people with receiver packs and such. but i have also seen ESCs like the sxx that said no receiver pack needed. so dose the esc boost the outgoing voltage to the servo?

that all being said, i think i need a servo as well

I used to run a rx pack, but now use a modded Novak booster with a Tekin RS esc. Way more convenient than a rx pack.

3 options:

newer ESC with no receiver or booster. I think the new Speedpassion and the LRP do this

Esc with a booster, TQ or Novak. You may need to mod the booster depending on the brand of booster and/or ESC

ESC with a receiver pack. I run this option

Futaba 9650 is a good servo.

The only caveat with zero timing/boost esc's is that they're non adjustable. If you decide to travel for any racing that allows timing/boost, you're kinda stuck in slower mode.

not sure the stock spec is a zero timing esc, I know it has a zero timing mode but it also has boost modes, not sure if those are more powerful then the sxx comp boost mode with are for mod motors not "stock" motors

and Frank I have your Chassis, I'll pm you my phone number, might be able to get it to you before the next race,
