"I'm Stroker Ace... and the only thing I love better than winning a race... is to stuff Torkel Chicken, in my face."

Bradshaw, if you do this, I expect to see the chicken suit as well.... lol.

Most of you know I'm a sucker for interesting liveries in Scale Spec. See attached pics of my last two cars to show you what I mean. As it turns out, my new 2011 Mustang/Transformers Bad Guy/Cop Car is slower than shit. The car pushes like a deranged snowplow and is over a second a lap slower then the Ricky Bobby car. Who knew that bolting something on the roof that disrupts airflow across the entire body would cause such poor handling characteristics?

So I came to the decision (with some help from Todd and others) than I need to broom the cop car and run something that will stick to the track better. But you know me, I gotta have some fun with it, so here's the question: What should I run next? I'm looking for a suggestion on the body as well as something funny/clever to do with the decals. I can make my own vinyl, so no need to suggest off the shelf liveries.

Any suggestions?

I think you should do a Tofu Delivery toyota AE86

If everyone ran the best handling bodies, we'd have a field full of LFAs and Camaros. Scale Spec is supposed to be about looks too, not outright best performance.

Default Todd is MIA...

Noticed the site isn't updated and we haven't been posting about our upcoming races. Phone has been blowing up with texts so I thought a post would be worth it! lol

Yes today is a race day!

I'm assuming we are still on the first half of the season schedule so,

-Doors open at 3pm
-Racing starts at 5pm sharp

See everyone tonight!

...... But there is a balance between looks and performance , even in scale spec ..,. I think that's what Kyle initially was getting at , he wants a body that is both cool AND handles ok, definitely not horrible.

Can we start a list of VTA/USGT bodies and their handling characteristics, then? This exists for stock bodies and is mostly common knowledge, but when it comes to scale bodies it's difficult to figure out. We know Protoform bodies perform well, I can chime in and say that the HPI BMW M3 isn't bad, but I've too been wondering if there is something else I should try.

I can tell you from experience, that the HPI Porsche 911 Turbo and Mazda RX7 are good bodies. The RX7 seems to understeer a tad, the 911 from what I can remember, was pretty neutral. They also allow the wheels to tuck better than others without rubbing..... and they look good too.

Default Who's MIA?

Whaddayamean MIA?

Tonight's race is right on the front page where it has been for over a week.

Plus, I hired a tow plane with a sign to fly over I-5 and I-90. It's been up there all day, unfortunately no one can see it because the clouds are too low.

Well, someone broke in my garage last night. Luckily it was probably one of our local crack heads so they didn't know what they were grabbing. Got us for some misc stuff but did manage to grab my TAO6. Chances are it's already sitting in a pawn shop in the area along with the other stuff they got but if by chance someone comes across a fully hopped up TAO6 with a transponder, Novak speedo, NSX body painted in my paint colors, 9551 servo, futaba Rx, I believe there was a Reedy 21.5 motor, shorty battery pack and I had made a modification to the front with long tie rods to stiffen it up, let me know!

That sucks Jeff. I'll keep my eyes peeled, but you're right, it's probably in or on its way to a pawn shop.

I'd also keep my eyes on eBay and local hobby shops that resell used cars.
