I've found that pitting next to Adam is beneficial, not only is it great that he has all the latest and greatest setup tools and gear in general... will loan it out liberally and doesn't hold it against you when you peel him after loaning you the tools to get it done...

You laugh, but.. I was in the middle of something when Kody runs up to me this past Saturday yelling, "Ya got a 1.5mm!?" So I handed him my trusty Eds Tools 1.5mm driver so he could tighten his pinion. I even had a flashlight to aid with the process.

I can't drive to good but at least I can wrench ok

Just keep your black tires in the black grove and you shouldn't hit any pipes if you have grey on black then your in trouble

I'm in: Stock TC.

EDIT: Took out Scale Spec; car not quite finished and I don't want to rush it.

Alright, after a lot of thinking I think I'm done. With racing. Monitor the For Sale thread for some stuff coming up.

Good things come to those who believe

Better things come to those who are patient

The best things come to those who never give up

Don't give up so easily. Comparing time in the hobby ... Your skill level at 1-1.5 years is equal to where I was with 2-3 years of experience. Don't take it too seriously, racing is suppose to be fun.

I appreciate the complement, but it's not for me. I'm not giving up RC, I just don't want to compete.

EVO.6 and RC12R5.2 for sale.

I think they call that "Burn-out". It happens to everyone from time to time. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've been burnt out and done with racing, only to be sucked back in shortly after.

Being a new dad with a non-understanding wife has forced me to space out my race days, which has helped keep me stoked to enjoy the hobby. Keeps the hunger strong.

Worst April Fools joke ever. Not funny, Adam. FWIW, I hope you reconsider and make the hobby what you need to get out of it. In my case, I paint up shitty movie car knockoff bodies and blurt out Will Ferrell quotes on the drivers stand. I have fun doing stuff like that...maybe you can figure out how you can still manage to have fun in a competitive environment. Our club is stronger with you involved, and personally I'd hate to see you go.

I have burnt out more times than i can count. sold everything and changed rc vehicles. airplanes, helis, racing sailboats, tugboats, hydros, rock crawlers, off road racing and onroad racing etc. the list goes on and on. but yet i still come back after a while. its in my blood. (must be shock oil in my blood) its an addiction. sure drugs are cheaper but not as fun. take a break for a couple weeks then come back. or...just race the 12th scale. park the scale spec since thats the class thats giving you fits. drop out of it and concentrate on 12th scale. you seemed to have taken to it very quickly. just run that.
