so, for some of you guys really wondering...is the awesomatix really that good? YES it is. the drive train is so drag free, its stupid. my 6.1 was geared exactly the same as my a700. ( 3.5 FD) the 700 is much faster. and handles alot better. sure its jaybees setup but its a good one and it works very well. i dont plan to deviate much from it. i made 2 changes to the car last night. first i added a little toe out. then i changed from a front diff to the spool. gained about half a sec from the diff to the spool. i turned my fastest ever laps last night. 13.1 and average for 5 laps was 13.2 etc. its really worth it if you can get your hands on one. theres a good example in the nw for sale sec. even being green its still a good car. (sorry jeff sr green aint my color) but its still an awesomatix with alot of spares. for a good price too. my opinion, buy an awesomatix. they are that good.

Sorry Doug,
It isn't as simple as that. Yes the A car is a very good car but it isn't going to make a so-so driver into a winner, it's just another piece of the puzzle. All I take out of your post is that jaybee's former A car is better than your former 6.1.
Here's another way to look at it, was kody's knutson's 6.1 that he had last year better than yours or the same as yours. Same car, so was the setup and building skills of both cars the same? You for most of this season kept complaining about your 6.1 so why now be shocked when jaybee's car feels faster and better to you?
Lastly, you do realize that once the belts are being powered they " open " up a bit or spread and they become much more free, granted maybe still a little less than a A car but better and more efficient than they seem at low revs. If the awsomatix is so vastly superior to belts, than why have the xrays won the last couple of stock classes at the ETS races?
I am not a hater by any means of how good the A car is, but it doesn't walk on water nor does it heel the sick.
