The track really needs to be within the 494/694 loop just to make it centeral to everyone.

They have a real sweet deal with the Superior Armoury. They have a space in an on-site storage bldg to store everything. So all they do is show up with plenty of muscle, and put down/take up the track.

Not intending on stepping into you boys' sandbox - EDIT- and now I'm damn sorry I did.

The intent is to have a place to play with 10th scale sedans and 12th scale. Something large enough to put the horsepower down, and have fun.
If we want to run mini's, there are already existing venues for that.

you do it in the Osseo legion and i am definately in, as its 5 minute from my house. To the person commenting on being within the 694-494 loop, The legion is 1 mile north of 694.

Not intending on stepping into you boys' sandbox - but one thing I don't see being addressed (maybe you already have and just haven't said) is what sort/scale of vehicles you plan on running. On-road, off-road, 1/10th, TCs, etc.
I'm sure all of you do some sort of outdoor racing during the summer months, but what I'm suggesting you consider is just HOW MUCH stuff and room it takes to run indoors - not only the materials, carpet, boards, obsticles, etc. - but the area needed (including pits) as well as the manpower needed to take it up and down.
So anyway, before getting over your heads, and just to throw something out there - have you considered mini's? I know, I know, I know, I've heard it all so you don't need to say it, the reason I'm mentioning it is because the area as well as the materials needed are small in comparison - and, in addition, you can save all your larger outdoors stuff and that way it saves a race season of wear and tear, as well as mini's/micro's being much cheaper to run.
.....just a thought, and 2-cents worth to consider![Wink](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/wink.gif)

It will be good to see you there, sandy. We are only in the talking stages right now but when I called the legion in osseo they sounded excited to have a club like ours come and play. They said they could have a bartender on for an extra 50 a night. I told them it would be fun but stupid

Like Joe said this is all formative at this point. So in my opinion there are no bad ideas.
Its great to see interest and people looking to help. As to the final location it would be up to all the members to decide. Joe lives in the Northwest area and naturaly knows that area well. If anyone has a location elswhere by all means check into it, and let us know about it. In the grand scheme of things we need a place that would work for our purpose first. If we find more than one location then we start a +/- list and vote on the issue.
So keep all of the ideas and opinions coming !!!
