Hi Scionara05, you're absolutely right. The front bumper splitter jabs into the gap of RCP rails and puts the car to a complete stop.

Default Beginner Questions: Body Wings and Tire

Hi everyone,

1. For box stock category, are we allowed to change the rear spoiler wings? e.g. Jomurema body with RTRC rear spoiler or Mclaren GT3 body with lexan rear spoiler.
2. Is there a technique to identify tire softness/ degree? i.e. I have a few pairs of PN tires (which I removed from purchased 2nd hand chassis). They are now mixed up in a bag and I don't know if they are soft, super-soft, mediums etc. so I can't pair them properly. I tried squeezing/stretching them and comparing them to the new tires that I have but I still can't make out what hardness they are (partially also because they are half-used). I don't want to throw the used ones away because they are still usable at 22.6mm.

1. On page 1, with the rest of the rules... "Kyosho Autoscale/White body Complete and unmodified must use original wing or no wing at all."

2. There are tools you can buy for this.

Thanks Chjosi. Are the tools specific to RC or something I can get at hardware shops?

Thanks for the link Chjosi! Those are VERY similar to the depth guage setup I use the reload ammo for my single shots, but with a finer tip. I'm going to try it out to see if it will work.

AlvBo, those are some GOOD TIMES!!!! Can't wait to see them after you have some time and practice under your belt! CCW is still kickin my arse!!!

Take Care and Drive Fast!

I will be putting in times for Stock, 2wd open, 4wd open and Box stock. I am finding this months layout challenging to run clean laps.

Best so far today.

I am seriously challenged with this layout CCW! I had my fastest lap CW after getting the disk damper setup at 4 seconds flat with only twice needing to reverse in 75 laps! But CCW I can't turn 5 laps without sticking it in the wall and my times are almost as slow as I was when I started! I'll try for 75 laps in the Stock class, but I'm not promising ANYTHING!! LOL

Class- Stock
Date-09/28/22
Location- Central Texas
Race Time- 7:23 / 443.0 seconds
Fastest Lap- 4.75 seconds
Chassis- MR-03
Body- Jomurema
Wheelbase- 98mm
Tires- F- Kyo low height slicks 30* / R- PN KS Radial Soft
Motor- stock
Batteries- Pn 900maAh
Front Springs- green
T-Plate- #5 Carbon
Motor Mount- MM stock
Dampener (If applicable)- PN MR2061 Graphite Disk Damper (both disks, purple springs), PN MR2161 Dual Spring center shock (silver springs)
Dampener Fluid (If applicable)- none
Gearing-8T Pinion/Stock gear diff
Notes- Disk damper/dual spring shock CALMED the car down considerably! I continued to have problems CCW. I ran CW directly after running my posted CCW, and had my fastest 75 laps and turned 3.75, 3.76, & 3.79 in a row! My fastest laps EVER!!! I'm confused why I'm having soo much trouble CCW. Ready for new layout and CW!

I'm back! Sorry for the long absence! I had several ailments earlier in the year and a new job that has kept me preoccupied. I was only able to get a few runs in this month, but hope to be more active going forward. I'll be posting the new layout for October tomorrow. Get those last minute runs in and posted by midnight EDT tonight!
