You could also pick up a 4PL or 4PLS on here reasonably priced and I have had really good luck with mine. May also want to check out smc-racing.net for batteries. They are really solid and I don't think you can beat the price for club racing. A lot of guys are running the B5 lite and it is a very good buggy. If you can find a B5R or B5M or Losi 22, they are going to be just as competitive and there is local support for parts.

Thanks for the info. What's a good place to start for a motor/esc? I would like to run stock. Stock used to be 27t. I have no idea what stock/mod/spec is on brushless.

We are racing on Saturday at 6pm so you should come check it out!
Hopefully 13.5 spec buggy also if there is enough interest

Stock in any class is 17.5. As Travis mentioned, there may also be a 13.5 class if there is enough interest. Many of the faster racers will still be running a 17.5 in this class as well however. There are certainly different levels of motor, but at a track as small as Jake's, any decent motor will be plenty. As to esc, there are many that will work well for you. Perhaps swinging down and checking out what everyone is running to see what you like. You may find that much of what you will be running is actually a lot cheaper than the way it was before relatively speaking.

Here is the plan for week 1 (Saturday 10/24):

Side door will be open before noon and the track will be open for practice from noon to 5pm.

Track is closed from 5 to 6 for prep.

Sign in starts at 5.
Races start at 6.

Adjustments may be made after we see how this is going to work.

Actually. The track is plenty wet. No watering is needed. Have fun.

Lots of moisture and bite in the track! There was a few puddles left from last nights taurentual down pour but I cleared them up so people could practice tonight!

More good news, my truck handles better after this weeks rebuild than it ever has since I've owned it, look out! Lol!

Had a great first night. 49 entries.
Track held up good all night.
Thanks to all who came out to play.
Look forward to racing again in 2 weeks.
