So doors open at 1:00 today? And for how long, are we racing or just "practicing"?

I liked this first track lay out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm08lpw2ksc Also the one Porter designed that was the second or third one.

I was posting them at first. I think the first layout was the best also but it was topsoil we were running on. The surface is a little rougher now but it has way more grip. It's almost time to tear this track down but I'm not too worried about it because we haven't had enough cars to make up a heat for three weeks. Maybe if we change the track some more people might show, I don't know.

If you do end up changing the track I think you might see a few more people show up after word is out that it's been changed. I'm not saying you're gonna get 50 people all of the sudden, but there has been some talk over the existing track needing to be changed.

I understand your position as well. It sucks to put all that work into a track and have no one show up, at best it's a gamble.

Lee- Like Kyle said.....It's a Gamble. But, here we are in the middle of the summer and people are doing other outdoor activities and no one can expect an indoor facility to rise with a sudden track change. Maybe for 1 or 2 weeks but...

On the other hand, Lee, you gotta till that track up sometime soon before it turns into a concrete-like clay. As long as that layout has been sitting and water down and sitting.....Thats gonna be tuff as hell to till up and turn right now as it is.

Dover has a point. Each time we water it the track settles a tiny bit and gets tighter together. Which is making it harder to work with.

I can till that track in one day, no problem. I don't have tillers anymore. I know the track and have spent many hours digging on it. More than anyone. It's manageable but it can't be done without a tiller. The big one cost us over $150 for one day. It's worth it to me but not to other people. Hey, Jacob, can we have a tiller? Are you out there? Reading this?

Thanks alot Lee for your hard work! What I would like to see in a track is some woops and a double-double. With a double-double it will give use more variations on how to jump it. Then the rest could be what ever. Just nothing stupid that will break parts. A am like Evan I am tired of that triple by the wall. Just my 5cents on what I am thinking.

It seems like the tighter and more turns you have the bigger the track seems.
