I stopped by this afternoon and got to see the finished product..... Big thumbs from me!!!

Great looking layout for the first track of the year. Nothing huge, a flowing race line, some technical areas. Nice looking track to get everyones rust shaken off after a long summer away from the dirt

Great job Alex, and to anybody that lent a hand

I also learned that it looks like we may be seeing a lot of new comers to Jakes this year. If thats the case lets all remember why we are all really here (FUN... And we're all just a bunch of dorks that love toy cars)

Can always miss the 1st round.. The reasoning for earlier starts is to make it an earlier night with large turnouts... And to make for a shorter day for track crew as we get there 9-10am

So.. If we are unable to make it for any open practice and miss the first round of racing, do we get a discount on race fees? That seems fair right.... You still get home earlier, and the customer doesn't feel like they were cheated out of track time/$$$, just cause they were unable to make the new time table... Wink, Wink,

Not trying to start anything, but it does seem there are a lot of folks pretty put off by such an early start time. I'm going to do my best to make this 1pm start time to work for me, but you may ask around the pits this weekend for your customers opinions on the matter

Awesome Hooter!! I have a NIB T4.2 that I will make you a deal on.

I like the 3 start time. I still feel like this will give you some wiggle room on not being there too late. It would also not totally eliminate all racers who work on Saturday.

I too like the 3pm start time. I know of 6 other racers that can not be there till 3pm. If it stays at 1 then they will not be coming.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I just don't get the idea of if I can't make the 1st round I give up idea.. Think about it... It's like saying and I have heard this before .. If I don't make the A I quit... Don't forget these are toy cars we race.. I understand the guys that have too work and I get it.. My work ruins most all of my plans during the week. My reg hours are too work until 7pm and most days that turns into 7:30-8 real easily...Moral of the story don't give up on racing just because you have to miss a round.. Or can never make the A main.. Don't worry there have been plenty of races that I have gone to that I can't make the A either.. My guess is that round 2 will be starting around 3 due to we usually don't get started on time.. Have to get transponder issues worked out.. Waiting on racers/marshals.. Etc
My personal goal is to have the races done by 8pm. This benefits the new young racers can stay for there mains and still keep mom happy because they are home on time for bed.. And keeps gf's/wife's happy because we are home at a decent time..
