I think the weather played a part in it. Sucks because I planned on coming but just couldnt. Also sucks because I know a lot of work went into the track...etc.

I had a blast running with everyone! Had some tight racing in my quals and mains! Track was perfect for high speed side by side racing! Small turnout for sure! We actually lost money on this race, oh well!! Hope everyone had a good time! Thanks to all the racers who came out and supported Jakes RC Pro-Am. We have a Youtube video of the Shortcourse mayhem and I have a fews pictures ill post! Thanks again...

This weekend was fun, even with the low turnout... Track was great! Awesome job on that one Alex, and helpers!

Really have no answers for my A-main performances!?!? AP ran a great 8min race with little to no mistakes in 2wd, and Bub ran a great 4wd main!!! All I did was learn the track would bite back if you pushed to hard

I think I'm finally going to join the short course revolution come next fall

Porter I think you nailed right there...Little to no mistakes was definitely the key. Glad to hear about you getting a short bus. Really is a fun class!!!

I had a great time this weekend also!! Track was great!! Probably your best yet Alex. Sux to see the turnout so low but hopefully we can have a couple more decent turnouts for club races to make up for it.

We plan on keeping Jake's running Saturday races through the summer as long as racers continue to show and support track. Just wanted to make everyone aware I think there had been some confusion on this with the onroad season starting up. Would be awesome to have sat off road and get up sunday and race onroad.

Find a way to get the track and pits to a reasonable temp when it's 120 outside and I'd show up.

would be sweet to a/c the pits, and maybe have a later start time of 7-8 so it may be a little cooler on track side.. we will see what happens, maybe we can get a mild summer

That's one thing I never understood.... Sure it gets warm in the track during summer, so start later and plug in some fans... But the same people that don't want to run at jakes because of this will gladly go out and stand on a paved parking lot in the middle of the same 120* day for hours..

It just baffles me???

After I posted that I realized it looks like I'm pointing my finger right at AP... That was not my intent, sorry AP! Just making a silly observation

It's all good! I wont go stand on a hot parking lot either...now that I'm not obligated to!

The difference to me though, is that a parking lot is open air, where as a building without climate control is just a stuffy, hot box oven. I'm just not sure you could constantly move enough air inside to make it comfortable...but hey, I'd give it a try!

Running all summer should make for less people poop to clean up.

Being outside in the heat is way different than being in a hot building. And if the parking lot stuff is done by 2-3 in the afternoon that is even better cause the hottest part of the day is late afternoon.
