Any one interested in running a super stock class for corr truck?

13.5 motor
speedo must be in blinky mode?

A little more power and speed and would make for some fun close racing just like 17.5.

Anyone? 4 makes a class!
Dustin are you ok with this?

I would be down for running this next week within the mod class as an agreement amongst the drivers if anyone else wants to. Maybe Hooter and Tim Crane?? Mike Tibbetts? If there aren't very many takers I will just stick with my 17.5

Bond- There technically shouldn't be any "slowing" of the 17.5 motor when it reaches 180deg. It should show weakening signs when it exceeds 225+deg.
Assuming that your gear-ratio is right, this overheating may be caused by a drive-train drag. Check all your bearings, especially your Hubs. Check your Tranny Case for over tightened screws. Make sure your drive-train spins completely free.

I run a much higher amp dump running a 17.5 in a TC @ 150deg.-165deg. One small drag and up goes the temps and speed loss.

Hope this helps.

We have a ballistic 17.5 that is just slow. I have the same timing and gears as in my son's SC10 another SC10 and you can see from the sidelines that it is just slow. I swapped the ESC before last Saturday and the ESC ran fine in my truck. That truck's problem was me. What do you think? This is a motor that had to have the sensor board replaced and then I had trouble with a stronger servo overwhelming the ESC. Maybe it got hot earlier, I don't think it got that hot, it was not running hot Saturday. Hate to complain to Novak that it is slow. If it was the gear train, I would expect heat issues.

I have checked all the above and tranny is free .... I have had this same result in an SC 10, xxxsct, and now in my Kyosho. Motor gets between 160-180 and it loses power. I am not saying it quits or slows to a crawl but it won't clear the jump. As far as you having a higher amp draw in a touring car...you sure about that over a corr truck with the big tires?? Anyways thanks

It's a known fact that some motors are more tolerate to heat than others. Speed Passion motors fade bad with heat for example.
