I think it would be highly likely to see a mod 4X4 short course truck class at Jakes come the indoor season. Smart money would be on a 4X4 SC10 or a Losi Ten SCTE......these trucks will be the most likely to be supported by the LHS.

Workin on it (well maybe tonight).

Unlike your sLosi, this fine crafted machine goes together piece by piece, by ME. You can't just pull it out of the box and drop electronics in it and bash it. That wasn't what I wanted (a basher truck). That's why I got a race truck.

lol... my basher did require new diff pins that cost me $0.00 from losi. and no didnt require building but......

i didnt have to worry about having to possible buy a servo extention lead, or finding a half filled diff, or warped diff case, or motors not fitting, or missing parts ( just a few popular compliants about the ASSociated truck so far) but maybe you got a good one.lol

all that aside, what electronics are you putting in that thing, and are you gonna run it at Daves in 2 weeks

$0.00 diff pins and a two + week wait... My time is worth more than $0.00 (your times value).

Oh yeah, I am sure there are a million things wrong with mine. Difference is, I will find any problem PUTTING IT TOGETHER. Yours? Well lets just say that they made it work regardless. A servo lead extension? Is that the best you got? Half filled diffs? I am filling mine with a better blend, so no worries. But your right, I probably just got a good one!

I was sold on RX8's till I smoked one and lost the switch on the other. I know nothing about Speed Passion so maybe a Mamba Max/Monster? IDK... Probably the 4.5 for a motor. Maybe 5.0... Al these decisions... Oh yeah, I can run 540's as well...

Body wrap designed, so that will be done. Just need to find time to build it. It will be ready in a couple of weeks though...don't worry!

shouldnt you be building instead of sitting in front of the computer

i had the tekin 5.5 in mine and ran about 50% boost with no timing added.. so a 4.5 is probably going to be unruly like a certain 1/8 E buggy i know of lol if you like tekin go with a rs pro its smaller, sensored, and plenty capable.

p.s. AE shocks suck.... lets see how long yours last lol

FWIW a buddy of mine is racing the 2WD Open Short Course class with a Tekin RS/13.5 (540) and while he doesn't win all the time, he does do quite well and the reason is...that he's not OVERPOWERED like a lot of the guys in the class are. Just something to THINK about!

I've got 2 friends who have bought the SC10 4x4 so far (both have them already)...one has a Novak 4.5 SC/MMP and the other has the CC SC combo (4800 4-pole motor/sidewinder esc). I have yet to see either one run...but my expectation is that the CC combo will be more CONTROLLABLE.

Just thought I'd put the idea in your mind anyway...the previous poster had the right idea.

I think y'all are nuts. Strap more power in it. You can always turn it down.
6.5 in 2wd
5.5 in 4wd
4.5 550 in SC

The only place I truly believe you are over powered no matter what you do-8th E. You are basically screwed from the get go. I mean, 3-5HP
Output electric motors in a 7lb buggy?

Can't strap more motor in during the race. Can always turn it down during the race
