Alex I am still running boost and dynamic timing as are most people down at Jake's. The only two that aren't are Turbo and Stevie. I would just leave your stuff as is for now.

That's all this getting rid of dynamic timing is going to do is turn it back into a motor game. Just like the good ol' days.

I was wondering if someone could help me out here, I've noticed some of the off brand motors aren't rated int there turn spec but instead sold as there KV rating.... would a 2726kv motor be close to a 17.5? If not what would the turn rating be on that?

I think once you remove all the fancy timing adjustments being sent to these 17.5 brushless motors that you'll find that their all very similiar in performance. One might have a tad more RPM than the other but running temperature is everything nowadays and you can only gear so far.

I don't think Stevie's high buck Tekin RS (in spec mode) and his fancy new viper(?) motor was any faster than my low buck Losi Xcelorin 17.5 combo.

I bet if I drove both I could tell the difference and I know neither will maintain the performance that I get out of mine with using dynamic timing cause mine doesn't get hot.

Sure can Just be sure to run a 10th scale speedo cause I don't think it would be very driveable with that RX 8

Stevie has thrown down the challange by spanking us all last saturday with zero timing but if you feel the need to boost than so be it...
