Cause at the previous tracks in our area it seemed we never really went past midnight on a race night and if we did it was because of the amount of racers not because of playing around between rounds or the mains. I say that from what I saw last year at Jakes... I haven't been in to race at all this year so the late nights might be more because of turn out now as well. So I really have little room to talk here

From my understanding it seems that more than half the crowd is all for an earlier start time... So why not simply give it a shot for a couple weeks and see how it goes.

What I don't understand AP is why your so stuck on how things have always been in the past, instead of looking to the future and accommodating the majority of Jakes customers. I mean first was your big deal about using personal transponders at Fast Lane (when almost every track around the nation is going to that format). This created a bit of bad blood between the two tracks in my eyes. Now we have a decent group of racers asking for a very simple task of starting 1 hour earlier to try and get done before midnight and all you can do is argue the fact that it's always been this way so thats just how it has to be

What do you mean? This is fun

Isn't this why forums were invented, so we can bitch and gripe from the safety of our keyboards... I mainly gripe just to push AP and Dover's buttons (see above )

Default saturday

I was at jakes Saturday and they did a good job about keeping the races going and not messing around. So its mainly the amount of racers you cant help that one. Major improvement over last year guys.

Thumbs up

First off I'd like to say THANX to Jake for opening up again for this season of racing. And GOOD JOB to Jake n Darin n Dustin on the first 2 weeks of racing also. Since I'm jobhunting now I may have to stay in town to keep my spending down, so I may appreciate Jakes a wee bit more nowadays for having a local intown track to race at, thx. Now I just have to drive better lol , 3 classes is a bit wild fer sure. yes 45 to 51 entrees is awesome so the earlier 6 oclock start sounds good for now at least? play it by ear I say. Since sat. nights are usually planned for a late night out, one should come prepared, but a little earlier may help some too. You win and lose on this topic, oh well. I know when i've goon down to P-Hill on fridays{worked till 5 or 6} and saturdays{worked til 1 or 2} I usually missed the 1st round of quals but I still had time to run the others and mains, so no biggy there. I kinda like 6 minute heats, but think 6 min. mains would be long enough and would save time also. Kudos on the track design especially if it made the TurpoPuttz approval lol. Hey Mayor, u been huffin too much bbq grillin smoke again haven't you? lol. And having a decently WARM place to race is VERY VERY VERY much appreciated also, keep it up. Also it was some nice good hard racin the last 2 weeks with everybody also!!! Anyways...just some of my old fart decrepid many years of racing dinosaur thoughts n views. Please remember...just my helpful views n ideas to HELP people, not negative complaining. But sometimes complaining/critisizing is a way to adjust/fix things, right?
Thanx everybody, Barney
cya this saturday. be there be there races starting at '6' oclock!!!
