Might not be ready for more packing til later in the evening, we soaked it last night and it kept taking all the water we could throw at it. I'm going to try and go set a sprinkler on it today, they open at noon...,

I say let it dry-out a little.. it makes the racing better. And I hate slicks, and Panther.

Losi Pink "half-ies" work well too. These would be mostly worn out pink taper pins that feel pretty much bald and slick, but you can still see a bit of what's left of the tread pattern. You can also take some losi pinks to a belt sander. This leaves a textured surface on the tire, even though it is technically "slick" and is a different tuning option, as the Panther slicks are smooth as a baby's bottom. If the track is packed very well, as it sounds like it may be, then regardless of whether it's wet or dry, slicks are going to provide the most traction because of all the clay. If you REALLY want to run pins...pink tapers.

Hey, I know that it is inconvenient but I would rather there be tamping before or after tattoo shop hours. I know that's kinda inconvenient but dang its really loud up front and I don't want to run anyone off due to the annoying racket. If need be I can tamp it tonight after I close. tattoo hours are 12-8, all other racket it fine, it's just that dang tamper it CRAZY loud! ha ha, the tiller is okay during shop hours, its no where near as loud as the bone rattling tamper.

THANKYOU GUYS! THE TRACK IS LOOKING AWESOME, CANT WAIT TIL TOMOROW

big knight15-
Hey, I run Panther Clay slicks and they work great. Losi Pink Tapers ground to slicks work great as well. Best 2 to choose from. I have tried a Proline M3 compound tire that was ground down and didn't have as much luck with it. Truth is, is Prolines have awesome forward traction but lacked side bite.
....(this is just my opinion)....
The reason being is Proline tires have a tendency to have a more flatten surface, when slicks, with less side tire role. The Losi and Panther tires are more rounded tire in shape, when slicks, and carry great forward and side bite. Oh yeah, you might want to consider slicks in the front too.

Oh, by the way, got a Tattoo from Jake yesterday and I must say.....
JAKE IS THE MAN! If anybody wants a Tattoo, talk to Jake. Excellent Job Son!
I guess you racers will find out shortly...... can't miss the shop.

I am going down in a little bit to run my 4wheeler and truck, then probably pack the track after the shop closes at 8. Come practice with me

Thats great news guys!

I always understood $15 dollar entry fee's as it takes money to run a track
Lets support this guy's and have a big year for Jake's.

yes sir, thankyou for that Rich,

Also fellow racers, Dustin and Darrin will be in charge of the race program, Darrin will be your famous announcer, he will be the man that enters all your information in the computer and doing his magic with the lapcounting system, and Dustin will be helping with the public relations as I won't be available on the floor until later in the night, Dustin will also give new racers, AND seasoned racers guidance on our faster paced race nights, giving Darrin more focus on his job up on the announcers stand, thankyou for your support and making race nights fun and competitive!
