Dustin I'll go for that! Can I add that the marshalling needs to be addressed this year........ I think we need to get Aron, Dustin,Ben to determine an amount of time from WHEN your race (heat) is finished, to when you are to be on the track ready to marshall for the next race. This would allow time for the racer to return to the pit to remove the transponder and return it to the rack and go back out onto the track so we can get the next race started in a timely manner. If a racer does not return to the track to marshall in the amount of time given, than there should be a POINT taken away from that racer's total for the night.

Every "sport" has rules. without rules you have no consistancy, and without that nothing would be "fair" everything about this sport/hobby is based off of rules. They've gotta be there for the sport to survive.
But maybe for those who want it, a RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG class?

Before anybody starts to bash on Mr. Lesprance, I understand what he's saying...
After running nitro now for a few years I can see why some that have started in nitro don't quite understand seeing all these rules and motor regulations. In Nitro you basically have 4 classes (Sportsman/Expert Buggy, Sportsman/Expert Truggy) The rules and regulations for these classes stay exactly the same no matter which class you're running. Run a .21 size engine in buggy and up to a .28 size in truggy, any buggy tire as long as you stay within a certain width (which most tire and wheel manf. don't even make anything that would be out of spec.) Plain and simple.
Now there trying to come to the electric side of our little sport and see that there are so many different sizes and types of motors, batteries, tires, etc. which complicates all the rules even more and can be kinda confusing to those that have never raced electric before.
Us that have been around the electric side know all of this like it's nothing and simply assume that everybody reading this stuff understands just as well as we do.
For the most part, for those of you trying to make the switch it goes like this.
Novice-
-run what ya brung, any vehicle is welcome (I've always thought Novice classes should have a motor limit like 27t stock or 17.5 brushless, and an age limit of like 13-14 or lower)
Stock 2wd buggy - Mostly AEB4, Losi XXX, Kyosho RB5, style buggy
-Motor: 27turn Brushed or 17.5 brushless
-ESC: Open
-Battery: Open NiMH, NiCd, or 7.4v Lipo
-Tire: Any 2.2 buggy tire
Super Stock 2wd Buggy- Mostly AEB4, Losi XXX, Kyosho RB5, style buggy
-Motor: 19turn Brushed or 13.5 brushless
-ESC: Open
-Battery- Open Nimh, NiCd, or 7.4v Lipo
-Tire: Any 2.2 buggy tire
Mod 2wd Buggy- Mostly AEB4, Losi XXX, Kyosho RB5, style buggy
-Motor: Open
-ESC: Open
-Batt: Open Nimh, NiCd, or 7.4v Lipo
-Tire: Any 2.2 buggy tire
*I know there are other brands of 2wd buggies, for the most part if it's an older version of those listed or looks similar then it's most likely legal*
4wd Buggy for the most part is always ran as mod at club races. Same rules as 2wd mod.
Stock Stadium Truck- same as stock 2wd buggy, except 2.2 truck tire
SS Stadium Truck- same as SS 2wd Buggy, except 2.2 truck tire
Mod Stadium Truck- Same as Mod 2wd Buggy, except 2.2 truck tire
And since it seems to be the norm around the country SC classes both Stock/Sportsman and Advanced/Expert have the exact same rules, simply separated as per driver experience if you win 3 times in a row in Sportsman you are automatically moved to Expert.
Short Course Truck- Traxxas Slash, SC10, HPI, Losi, Kyosho
-Motor: Stock RTR, 27turn brushed, or 17.5 brushless (No exceptions)
-ESC: Stock RTR, or I guess any brushless system
-Batt: open Nimh, NiCd, or 7.4v Lipo
-Tire: RTR, or Core specific tire with core style rim (Realistic)
Does that sound about right to everybody. I've never looked at ROAR rules

Doubt I'll make it this week. I have the Pro Series Finals going on at Hutch. If we can get done early enough then maybe, but I have to pass that one by the wifey after being gone all day ![Big Grin](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
All I have to run at this point is a 4wheeler, so as long as there is a good class of those I should be there on a regular basis this fall/winter
