i would suggest getting the sc10 kit version, 180.00..... 50.00 bucks cheaper wont buy u much electronics but u will be racing longer from what i found out...... I have had my slash for almost a year and ran the heck out of it and no problems at all, i have had the sc10 for a week and the esc went out on the 1st battery and now the motor has melted down.... so with that the sc10 kit version is cool, you get to paint ur own body and build the kit... the only thing we have to figure out is if a 17.5 is fair enough to run with the stock motor... i think from running mine last night that the 17.5 might have a bit more punch than the brushed stocker but its equal on top end....

hey guys i was down there sat. for the race but ended up doin a little practice and the slash couldnt quite make the the doubles i put a different pinion in it and it still couldnt get all the way there with all the stock slash parts. so my question is are you guys running stock slash gearing or am i doin something wrong. I did notice that when goin through corners to hard and lifting the rear tire the diff would just light the tire up that was off the ground im not sure how im goin to remedy that problem.

I will check my slash gearing, i wanna say 20-21 90 but i will check later, it was always good and fast, i think sometimes they thought i was cheating....but i will tell u that a 40c battery or 35c will boost it up nice....

Yup - shore can!!!! The stock Traxxas electronics is what was in my Slash - and they'll handle a 2s LiPo for let's see.....
I changed batteries at 15 minutes in the 30 minute main but honestly the 2s had NOT faded a lot. BUT, be VERY cautious - the stock Traxxas electronics DON'T have a LiPo voltage cut off - so you can kill a good battery by NOT paying attention. I did get a tip from Lurch yesterday - he indicated (from his own experience) that if you STOP RUNNING as soon as you feel some drop off that you're plenty safe. I recharged both of my packs that I ran in the main yesterday and everything went fine!
I wondered if you were running some extra good LiPos 'cause that puppy was sure fast! For a while anyway!!!! ![Smilie](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/smile.gif)
I had a lot of fun running with Dustin & Chris yesterday - there's just something about running SC trucks that is FUN and brings out the 'giggle factor' in R/C!
