Just found this thread. Love these cars too.
Raced a RM1 for fun a few years back, and it remains some of the best racing enjoyment I have ever had. Everyone respected the limits of the driver
and the car ![sneaky](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/sneaky.gif)
I like to take the old cars out every so often and give them event outing. It's very nice when younger racers come up and show alot of positive interest. The Fantoms chain drive freaks some of them out.
This is the only one I don't run, it's just too nice to put a mark on imo.

Re old radios - I contacted Robert regarding the same (EXII) and he directed me to KO Japan, sadly they couldn't/were not interested in helping.

You just reminded me that I have that chassis plate somewhere among my box of parts for the Plazma. Now I got to dig it out and look at it again.

The transmitter is a FP-T2L
I didn't think there was a 40Mhz version, I thought they were all 27Mhz
There was also a FP-T2LGX as well, this had the dual rate and EPA as standard.

Now I have to go to my collection and put some pics out for you.
I have an very nice swedish car called MIRAGE. Very weird loking car and it is old.
I really dont know how many 12 scales I have but arround 10 or so.
Go to google and take JERRYN KUVAT and there you`ll find an folder RC AUTO KUVAT. There you`ll find some rc-cvars from the past.
Sorry, I cant put any links here yet.

Shangrila
It's (...should be...) an Associated Nissan. Not very much of the same league.
There was a time in which a "body" was not a perfomance shell, was a "reproduction" of a real car, the performance was somehow secondary.

Yes, and that's a big part why these old cars are so special -
they look goooooooooooooood![Smilie](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/smile.gif)
That was a nice shell.
Bakaguyjean - was yours the red or the blue car back in your video on the first pages? It's cool to watch 2 cars playing together like on your video. Always gives me a smile. Wish I could do that more locally with a buddy!

of all the many body shells that I've run over more than 25 yrs of playing with these 1/12th scale cars, my all time favorite one was a porsche 962 shell that was painted and lettered up to look like the classic light blue and white lowenbrau 962 that Al Holbert kicked everybody's butt with. I long for the days when it was possible to purchase realistic looking scale decal sets. With hardly any availability of the lettering decals, it has become really tough to present body shells that resemble real race cars. This probably also explains the recent proliferation of fluorescent flame or tribal graphic paint jobs. Any ideas where one could find 1/12th scale size decal sets for Lowenbrau, texaco halvoline, bud, miller, nissan, andial, momo, castrol, john player, camel, etc? Even on the newer body shells..........they could still me made to look like relatively realisic GTP our group C cars if only some of the realistic looking lettering sets were available.
