But WORLD GT is only being driven in the USA and maybe UK now, not sure. They should not have called it WORLD GT but USGT or something and then there wouldn't be any discussion anymore. If you call something WORLD GT, people from other countries who are driving on bigger tracks and have a very different feel of what is fast and what is slow will have there say on the matter because the rules are completly useless here. The current WGT rules are being setup for very tiny indoor carper tracks in the US.

I have driven with 2s and a brushed 23t indoors before and it has good speed and a nice learning curve. I don't want to go slower so i can go full throttle everywhere and going slow on the straight part. It is plain boring.

Discussions and misunderstanding will always be there with the WGT name as it stands now.
So true. Seems like no one in Europe wants the slow 1s 13,5T stuff.

offtopic: The discussion in WGT 1s 13,5T lately has been about scale realism and the biggest issue in my opinion is that the tires are foam and thus to small in diameter.

givem some big ass rubber to compensate and they will not be that much slower either.

Is the tamiya 1/10 scale le mans cars 235mm?

I'd try the rubbery tires. No more measuring rollout! We just need someone to make them for those cars.

no it is 200mm and it uses even smaller tires. I do appreciate a nice painted body and prefer to paint my bodies in excisting team colors and not with neon and flames but thats totaly my own preference. What someone else does is up to them. I don't mind the scale isue with tires. As long as it looks like a porsche 962 or a peugeot 905 it's all good.

I am very excited about the idea from "our" group in the Netherlands to drive GT10 200mm 13.5 2s. I am even that excited that if it's fun and fast enough I might just drop 12th scale... Yes Alexander, I have said it!!! I think now after a good (and still going) outdoor Pro10 season the 200mm pancars will be as much fun driving indoors and offcoarse we can use the same lipo's all year long!!!

Don't worry, it is fast enough and the fun will be there as well. If 13.5t is equal to 23t brushed with 2s then it is fast enough to be interesting. Remember the touring cars with the 13.5t brushless go roughly 75+ km/h (47+ m/h ) on the MACH so a 13.5t in a pancar is plenty fast enough i think for an indoor carpet track .

If not and everyone agrees we can always go to 10.5t and 2s but that would be faster then what you are driving now in your 1/12

I have had lots of luck with the Corally 10X. Image and setup shown below.

Have fun at the track!

Hey phil,

How big is the track you run with that tekin setup? What is the lenght of the straight etc.

Howdy.

That particular track was unusual in that it had a diagonal straight running approx 100-110 feet with a sweeper coming in. There was also another large sweeper running the width of the track (40 feet or so) and then half of the length in front of the driver stand into a high speed chicane. So, there were two really fast spots where the turbo would kick in. I could have backed the motor timing down to zero and gone with a lower delay but 199 only permitted .5 sec. Although it was asphalt, traction was insanely high so temps were high, too. Ambient temperatures on day two helped in that it was cooler than day one. I hope this helps.

Good luck.
Phil

Does anybody have new developments on their Pro10's for the 2010 season yet??? I am currently working on my next Pro10 project which again will be based on the R5 platform but now with the R5.1 rear-pod. The CAD drawings are almost finished. Almost time to arrange a sheet of carbon fibre and contact my friend who will be doing the milling for me...

Joost-Here are a couple of pics of my

JSPro10 kit on a CRC Gen X 10

It will finally be available in about 3 weeks at

http://www.stranahan-rc.com/

Mugen10-Thanks.

Advantages over a traditional pan are: much better performance through the bumps, low tendency to blow over at high speed over the bumps due to dual A-arm dampened front end, better forward traction on low and medium traction asphalt than a traditional pan from a 3-link with Panhard bar rear end and the resulting generous antisquat, free movement, and direct shock action that is available.

The last pic is recent and shows the car with a Tekin RX8 speed control and 3.5 motor.

A completely built chassis as well as add on kits will be available.

I have a buddy with a very nice AE 10L2 (235mm) that would trade it even up for a Gen X10 or 10R5. PM me if interested.
