Acid,
That is alright numbers on you 2400. What you need to do though is get one of you buddy's to zap them a couple of times. Then cycle them some and the numbers should get better. as far as the the 3300's. There are alot better numbers out there. Go to promatch racing. Jeff has some good batts. Also speetech sells them to. You can get 1.17's and higher from speetech.

I just got 5 of the SMC 3300 packs. The numbers I got were better. They were not stick packs though. Don't kid yourself, those are great numbers.

Allright, now I am mad
Just spent over 300 on packs, got 5 smc3300. Best pack is 418, 1.176. Worst is 388, 1.178
The 388 was the cheaper pack.
The other 4 are all about 402, 1.174

Its allright. They are still great packs. when I discharged them on the Quasar, at 20 amps they were still over 7 actual volts after 5 minutes (not average: avg. was like 7.4)
Thats good enough for me.

Not to be a pain in the ass here.... BUT, are those of you who worry about the battery numbers running perfect laps every lap?? The differences between a cell at 1.17 and 1.18 are minuscule and of little consequence other than possible bragging rights at the local track. Packs already exist that are in the 1.205+ per cell range at 440+ run time at 30 Amps.

well said tufferwilde! this thread was getting silly.
numbers are of little consequence if you can't drive perfect lap after lap. after all, that .01/.02 volt advantage is lost the moment you take a corner slightly wide. and let's not talk about the number of corners in a lap and multiply it over five minutes.
as barry baker once said: forget the hype. practice is still the most important.
