If I were running the 2.5mm chassis, what do you think I should soften up to compensate?

i ran my pro4 with bmi chassis last year and it was good but i put on the stock chassis back on because my friends car was on rails with so thought i try it and ohh man i ran about a lap faster with the stock chassis so maybe hold on on the cyclone and try it stock first you never know this was offcourse with 19t foam and are track is very technical and maybe the thinner chassis makes since let me know what you guys think.

If you want to run his same setup with the 2.5mm chassis, you should remove .5mm of shims from beneath your toe blocks and upper-inner ballstuds. This will give you the same roll centers as with the 2mm chassis .

before I buy another chassis...maybe I'll the stock chassis and upperdeck first.... I won't be racing mod...so maybe I won't need the stiffer chassis....

i think it just up to the track as well. the fastest pro4 at our track has a BMI chassis and he runs stock with rubber tires alot of the time. the stiffer chassis can be better you just have to find the right setup for it

idk tho, i may run 19t at stockton, which means foams.....hard to say.

Whats up Josh,I have not run a pro 4 at the kingsburg track yet,so I'm not sure on the set ups,I think we are going to run a 19 rubber tire class this friday,if we get enough guys to run in it.I would try med. springs,the carpet does have good traction,22 in the rear and 27 up front seems to be the ticket,TQ orange or blue,most of the guys who are running a pro 4 are running a 2 deg. rear block and the stock front caster blocks.We have been getting 22 to 30 racers on fridays.Most of the time we start at about 7:30 and finish at about 10 pm,Hope to see you their.

Really the 2.5 wont work on carpet.. I have a BMI 3mm chassis so that should work better on carpet,I never cared much for it on parking lot tracks..found a use for it..

yes the BMI is great for carpet and even better if you are running foams. for a parking lot track... not a good idea at all. you wantt eh 2mm for a parking lot track possibly 2.5 is there is loads of traction

I run foams on carpet with the PRP chassis kit, but I tried using the stock upper deck for a meeting, and after the 2nd heat I put the PRP 3mm one on and the car was just so much better, much more responsive and just a whole lot quicker.

I also run on carpet with slick rubber tyres and additive and I found that the stock upper deck works much better there than the 3mm one, which is what all the team drivers setups suggest.

As for tyres on carpet, the Nosram VTEC 24R's are a very good choice.
