1. I haven't seen it in action on a track with actual boards, but have seen some pretty nasty crashes where the Pro 4 survived to continue racing (i.e., clipping the inside barrier on a track using large rubber hoses for barriers, then somersaulting end over end into a plywood wall)
2. No, definitely not as bad as the Tamiya car! Some people swear by the hot water bath and others have had no problems with the gears at all
3. Well enough, yes! It's already taken a couple of big wins worldwide and after a few testing session I'm sure the sportsman racers will find their groove easily enough.

I've raced my pro4 at a couple of meets now and have to say that the graphite parts seem to be pretty durable. The front knuckles are much better than the tc3's and seem to be better than the evo3's racing. I bought quite a few spares ready for the expected breakages with our tight track, but so far have not needed them.

Two thumbs up to HPI on this car!!!

next best place to get spare and option parts.
They must have sold out fast because they don't have them available. You can't find them in search but if you are looking for parts you will see them in the bottom section "People also bought this". However it will be out of stock when you try to purchase it.

What is the other place you mention to purchase parts? Rainbow10? I ordered two kits but if I don't have to open 1 up than I might as well buy parts.

Try Control Centre or Jet Hobbies both in HK...if you decide you don't want your One-way diff...let me know..I'll buy it from you.

I just received my order Square front and rear knuckles and hubs..color matches the HPI perfectly, Square make some of the best aluminum parts... I was dissappointed with the Tobbee/Product D aluminum drive cups though...purple is a lighter shade. I guess will have to do for now 'til HPI,HB, Square release there version.

Default 72036 6mm HUBS

"BUY HPI"
has these in stock again...
These are great if you're running a wide set-up.
With all the wheel spacers in place the stock thin hubs may not have enough grab of the wheel. This was recommended by the HPI R&d cafe Japan.

Picked up a pair of those when I was at the HPI Worlds in France a couple of years ago. This will be the 3rd car that they will be on and are worth twice there weight in gold. No more dropping that blasted axl pin on the ground.

So these are a few mm wider? If so I am going to order them, I really liked the 2mm shims I used to run in the front on my orginal RS4. Went to the site and they are listed but there is no option to purchase.

Any chance you can supply links to jet hobbies and control centre, jet hobbies returned nothing in google.

I will need the one-way at the worlds, sorry

The kit comes with some already, so they're thinner then the 6mm? I tried looking in the manual, but didn't say how thick the kit hubs are. Different part number. 72044

Those hubs don't have a "Buy one now" button on the Buy HPI site. So you can't buy them.
