when putting the e clutch together one end of the spring goes into the shoe and the other end goes into the holes in the flywheel. when all put together the shoes should stick out a bit. you need to squeeze them together to get the bell on. the shoes sticking out is what make the car stop when hitting the brakes.

Are the rear diff housing on the 4.0 E the same as the rear diff housing on 3.0 E? Was thinking about getting the 4.0 towers and the LRC adjustable hinge pin brace sets.

Mine stick out that far also? I even made sure the spring is in the hole on the shoe and the flywheel. Perhaps the springs included in the kit have to be modified or are wrong altogether?

My clutch assembly is doing the exact same thing. The springs in the kit look a little different then what is offered as sold separately. The one's sold separately have one of the ends that fit into the shoe or flywheel which is shorter. I took mine into the local hobby shop and had two racers tell me that was right for them to stick out that far as in your photo. However, two video's posted online show them much flatter almost touching the flywheel. Would really like to know for sure before damaging something?

I think my clutch shoes looked like that before putting together. Looks correct to me. Haven't been on the track yet but seems fine out in the driveway.

the spring that r shorter on the one side are nitro clutch springs. the springs for the nitro clutch and electric clutch are different. they have separate part #s

Here is a video of my 8ight-E 4.0 from yesterday at our Local St.Patty's Day Race. I started 2nd on the grid only 4 seconds off of TQ. I was able to take the win after a hard fought battle with 2nd. The new Proline Lexan Wing was awesome and kept the rear locked down and also took .2 seconds off of the average lap times. I would recommend it to anyone and build it just like Adam Drake. Below is my setup for a tight, indoor, clay, medium-high traction track. This is by far the best setup I have had on the car and definitely has surpassed my 8ight-E 3.0 performance! If anyone has any questions regarding the setup please feel free to PM me!

Thanks,
Patrick

Nice run man.. I noticed you took the ride height on down to 25mm lol. That's only 2mm higher than my b5m, makes me think about taking it down some!
