Thanks, I'll definitely do this

I ran my truck today for the first time since I built the kit . I'm running stock setup with the exception of tekno 8x3.1 pistons . 37.5 front 35 rear factory springs . 0 drag brake . 80% brake and 70% throttle droop Is stock. But truck seems to be jumping abnormally high and nosing down alot . I feel like I'm wasting alot of power throttling so hard in the air just so I can land . Does anyone have any tips ??

If you search this thread for nosedive you will probably find 100s of posts about this but mainly it's caused by chassis slap so you need to stiffen back suspension either with springs or fluids and since you are already running the 8x1.3s you ahead of the game, also try to power up before you hit jump face then let off on ramp, it jumps differently then say an SC10 or Slash.

battery mod per first page

those 8 x 1.3 like you said

Full rebound front shocks
no rebound rear shocks

stock springs are to soft for large tracks and large jumps.

try front springs in the 4.0-4.2 range and rear springs in the 2.8-3.0 range.

Yea I think this is about perfect, havent run it yet but I just put Losi Red in front and Losi Silver in the rear w/ AE37.5 oil up front and AE35 in the back. Set my ride height @24 and dropped the truck from about a foot, measured front and rear height now at 18. I think the fact that they match should translate into a nice front/rear balance on this spring/oil combination.

Interested to see how it does on the track this weekend, also rebuilt diffs with 7/10/5 so hopefully it wont diff out as bad now. Anyone else's diff fluid come out green? Was clear when I put it in haha.

Probably the best ones I have come across in any kit I have built. I really like the Tekno shocks, they build up very smooth it seems.

So does the RX8 Gen2 servo wire reach the receiver box or will I need an extension? My RX8 is on its way starting build tomorrow. Also is anyone running a futaba servo, if so is its wire reaching the receiver box? I like a clean truck and wire job hate using extensions.

I just left them, I would only drill the hole if you want to run emulsion with a bleeder screw in the cap.

I dont see why it wouldnt, its probably one of the shortest runs of any truck, the 1st gen RX8 in my EB48 had about an inch of extra length so unless they changed it you should be good to go.

I've been gluing up tires while waiting for parts and upgrades to come in, so in the beginning of this thread guys were saying that JConcept inserts don't last and they all take em out and replace with AKA and Proline inserts? Is this true, have a pair of pressure points I'm about to glue up.

My jconcepts foams only lasted a couple weeks till the foams were dead. Really disappointing. I've heard nothing but good about aka foams.
