What will I notice going to the 8 hole piston vs 10 hole kit?
Are we creating more pack to stop chassis slap?
Should more pack make truck more edgey

What deg rear toe does the kit setup have? Can I achieve -4.5 with kit included parts or do you need the optional +1.5 rear toe place to do this.

That list I gave you is what you need to make your sct410 an "ebuggy". If you want to make it an "eb48" you will need more than that. Might as well just buy the kit. The entire drivetrain, all arms, rear hub upright, steering knuckles and hubs, chassis, hinge pin holders, shock towers, etc would all need to be changed. Just buy a kit. They are based on the same layout but is really shocking how many parts are actually different.
The list I first gave you actually makes an awesome ebuggy. I have a SCT410, an EB48 and a SCT410 converted to ebuggy with that list/ And of the 3, the SCT410 ebuggy conversion is my favorite (and fastest) car of the 3.

shouldn't be any problems running with an RX8. as far as setup, it's been a while since i ran an RX8, but i would say to run it on whatever profile has zero timing. once you dial in the gearing, if temps are ok and you need more power, you can dial in some timing. the hobbywing motors will respond to timing well, but your batteries need to be up to the task.

How are you guys finding the stock shock oil weight setup im running a medium to large track and just want some input. Fairly big jumps at my track

Too soft for big jumps unless you're hitting all the landers. Good for bumpy tracks or low traction. I went up to 45/37 but it made the truck too stiff. Went to 10x1.1 pistons, 1 size smaller, with 32/25 and it was great. Im on big rough tracks though. Big jumps and its lumpy everywhere.

Front:
Pink springs
Tekno 1.3 x 8 pistons
35 oil
Rear:
Green springs
Tekno 1.3 x 8 pistons
30 oil
There's lots of other setups that are working but I'd start with the above with around 26-27 ride height.

There's TONS of shock experiences in this thread--but if you don't feel like digging and digging start with:

Pink springs
Tekno 1.3 x 8 pistons
35 oil
Rear:
Green springs
Tekno 1.3 x 8 pistons
30 oil
There's lots of other setups that are working but I'd start with the above with around 26-27 ride height.

A lot of guys use the Kyosho 1.3x8 pistons. I you choose to go that way make sure you get the white ones. When I bought mine I didn't realize there was a difference and ended up with the black Kyosho 1.3x8 pistons. They gave me all kinds of trouble. Turns out the black pistons are angle drilled and are designed for very smooth tracks.

+1 On this advice. It's the same set-up I settled on after trying a bunch of different combinations. The only difference is I run lighter oils (25f,22.5r) because I run on a very rough dusty track.

BTW-if I'm not mistaken, the reason people were running the Kyoshos was because Tekno was out of stock for a while with their 1.3 x 8 pistons. The Tekno piston is my number 2 choice (behind the holy grail of pistons--Fioroni's!!)

He loves them! And as someone who has owned a tekno, and then watched his tekno change from the previous piston setup to the fancy stuff, it is quite a change for the good.
would be first on the list if I bought another one, haha

I'm trying to figure out which way to move my shocks on my shock tower to help with the bumpiness of the track I'm racing on. Its a loose sandy track, the develops a lot of bumps.
I've attached a picture of the track.

If anyone is wanting a Tekin ProHD 4300Kv motor drop me a PM. I got one here that has basically 3 practice runs on it in the lawn and street.
Anyone here heard anything about outerwears making an inner body filter for the vehicle?
