lol, unfortunately for the sc10 4x4 sellers, can only dream of those kind of prices.

It felt better for the way I drive at about 6.6 lbs, I might even go a tad heavier for the outdoor season.
Looking to shave weight up high and maybe driveline weight. I won't do the lightened chassis however as from what I have read and what i am thinking its counterproductive.

as a side note, for my EB48 conversion from the SCT410, I am thinking to try the Tekin Pro4 HD motor with the 2S IP 7200mah 80C lipo. Depending on what weight I see, may lighten the driveline and shock towers as well.

Anyone know where I can get optional shock pistons for the truck? Everywhere I've looked, everyone is sold out. Tried contacting Tekno with no response. The 10-1.2s over dampen I feel. I want to try 1.3s and 8-1.4s. I went all the way down to 20wt TLR oil in the rear and went up a spring rate and its still over dampened. The front end feels fine even with 25wt TLR with stock springs. I'm sure someone else out there has had this issue. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Ant

if I am reading this right, you want to try 1.3mm x 10 hole pistons or do you mean the 1.3mm x 8 hole pistons?

rcplanet last time I looked had the Tekno 1.3mm x 8 hole pistons in stock.

For 1.3mm x 10 hole pistons, you can always assuming you have the right tool just ream out the 1.2mm x 10 hole stockers.

The chassis hurt the performance on mine for the way I drive and that's less than 3 oz I think. I did like the slight change when I put in the light weight front center shaft. I should be getting my 4300 Thursday so that will change the weight on mine slightly. Fri morning I'm off to the track, can't wait.

One other thing I forgot to mention is screws. Like you thinking with the chassis weight down low is a good thing. I originally changed almost every screw on the truck to either aluminum or titanium. Now I'm going to put the stock steel screws down low and light weight screws up high. Might not matter but I haven't stripped any of the aluminum screws that Tekno sells. I do make sure my hex tools are in good condition. At the same time I installed them I put in a bunch of titanium screws. So far I've stripped the heads on 5 of the titanium screws and none of the aluminum. I never thought it would have gone that way

I ordered some cf towers from Tekno not so much to lose total weight but more to lower the cog. I think that's the key.

The optional pistons have not been released yet. We are receiving some very soon though.

What is the outside temperature where you are running?

Damn. Did some practice runs and my shocks look like they are leaking at the top cap. I used the standard build, bladder, no vent hole, no oring.

Did I do something wrong? Maybe it's oil residue in the threads from pressing the bladder in initially and the oil was forced out by the air pressure above the bladder? I'll Check that and crank em down. I was careful to not crossthread them.

Its been 68 degrees F, the last two weeks I ran. The over damping isn't terrible, I can muscle through it. But I'd definitely like to fine tune it. I usually run light shock oil anyway. (Preferred driving style) but 20wt in the rear is a tad light even for me. haha. Bumping up in spring rate in the rear helps, but when the track starts to get blown out it makes the truck unpredictable. Is there a pre-order list or anything on the site to get these optional pistons as soon as they are released?

yeah that happens due to residual oil maybe getting in the cap. wipe clean, and after another battery or 3 you still see it, it might be worth a check

10-1.3 sorry haha. I think they would be perfect for the oil i use and tracks I run at.

There was an EB48 at the track this weekend. He was running an RX8 with the 4600 4 pole on 2S.

It was just as fast as any other buggy on the track and was much smoother. I think the battery weight reduction really made the car nimble.

I talked to a gentleman at Tekno today and unfortunaly it looks like the trcks are still 1.5 weeks out. They will arrive sooner or later, but as of right now they are very hard to come by...

Hey Zane it will work just make sure they download the software to run the 4-pole motor.

Default 7200 promatch packs

Ok, I bought 2 of these in order to achieve 10 min runtimes. After running my 5800s I can easily get 10 mins. The weight difference is interesting though as being heavier should provide more traction. Anyone else have both 5800 and 7200 packs? Curious if the extra weight helps or hurts handling.

The 7200s are still new in box and would require to change the connectors to 5mm. Thinking I should just sell them
