im also using kyosho white straight hole 1.3x8 pistons with losi 40wt/32.5wt oils and works everywhere. i also use xray blue grey front springs with xray greys in the rear on my sons truck, kyosho light blue fronts and orange rears on mine. as for the towers im using tsr carbons from a local guy that makes them, awsome fit and finish.

just went thru my latest issue and there is a review of our favorite sc truck, the reviewer really likes the truck and gives it 4 out of 5 stars. a few pages later they do the new slash lcg model, 5 stars, what are they thinking? talk about kissing your advertisers butts. i am not renewing my subscription. rc car and xtreme rc went to the wayside for posting honest reviews, now we are stuck with butt kissing rc driver and rc car action...good thing we have velosity on line....
i know this is a bit off topic but i needed to vent...sorry...

So if its a basher or econo racer it can get a 5 star rating because in that context it is fantastic,.... of course as a hard core racer it may be a 3 at best. Where the SCT410 got 4.7 instead of a 5 due to maybe not having wheels or a body....some jazz like that. So take it like that and nothing more. We know its rated 6 on a scale of 5 and thats all we need.

Hey by the way, after 2 months of racing and practice, and untold amounts of crashing I finally broke something! LOL, I was almost proud of myself in a sick kind of way. proving that it isnt indestructible after all . I broke a front shock shaft. Great, they come in a 2 pack. Hope the other one doesnt rust up b4 I use it......

What am I missing?
So I've been lurking a bunch and decided to pinch for this kit.
I haven't built it yet, but I'm looking throught the parts bag and for a moment I thought someone packaged an 1/8 scale kit in here - like I got the EB48 by mistake. The parts are insanely beefy. The shocks are freakin soda cans?
How on earth would someone manage to break this thing under any circumstance of reasonable use?

Overall an even better build than the eb48 (awesome diffs and arms)

I have a question on building shocks. Is there any reccomended shock shaft length? I couldn't find any in the manual.
What concerns me is the nut on the shaft impacts the bladder by quite a bit. the only way I can see to stop this is to shorten the shaft by screwing on the rod end further or to add some sort of travel limiter.
The build originally calls for four orings on the shaft to stop excessive roll, but Tekno said to take them off if you run a bumpy outdoor track. The orings would also limit the travel.
Is this even something I should worry about?

Hey Ryan truck is awesome and is very durable. I talked with Scott about a week ago about getting some parts ordered in to have on the wall at TRCR.

So, I took my newly acquired SCT410 to the track tonight and all I can say is WOW! This thing is a beast. I bought it used on here and that guy certainly knew how to set it up. It was only my second day at the track and first time with the Tekno. I was right on pace with the shortcourse showdown trucks that were here last week and I felt it was a little slow. The monster horsepower 5.5 just didn't have enough to get me the distance to clear the tabletop at the end of the triple but it handled like it was on rails. I have officially replaced the SC10 4X4.

CSI pistons.
Anyone running the CSI blue pistons? I'm running on med bite/smooth tracks.. if you are running them what oils are you going with? Was thinking 35-40 f and 30-32.5r.

Ah, and I'm running stock pistons right now with the same f/r springs as you. 35f and 30r oils.

Quick question. Front pink 70mm 3.83 rate and rear green 85mm 2.43 rate are the next step up in stiffness over stock correct? Part numbers TKR6035 front and TKR6031 rear. Any problems setting ride height with the longer front spring? Just curious why I see people using other manufacturers springs. Thanks
