I see that people are using them but im stumped. I do have my moments btw, so help would be much appreciated. As I am relatively new to the hobby I dont have many if any spare screws laying around to try different options. Let me know thanks in advance!
I just use a button head screw and thread into the horn. It's thicker than most horns so I just use some loctite and omit a locknut. I thread it in from the top, makes it easier to remove for maintenance and you won't have to re-center your servo.

Believe it or not I am using this servo with great success! Its actually the smoothest and one of the best I have ever used too.

OK guys, after screwing around with my leaky shocks again tonight, I think I found the problem. The seal stack has almost no pressure applied to it by the lower cap. The o-rings have zero "squish" if you know what I mean. I put a 7x5x.25mm shim between the shock body and the first plastic spacer. Doing a vigorous hand pump (hehe) of the shock, I have no leakage now. I had immediate leakage before. Now the search for some x-rings begins....

Spend the extra $20 and get the XP 1015 or... any other brand. The savox and spectrum are power hogs and may or may not (more towards the may) cause issues for you as you will be running a hot motor that also wants to pull a lot of juice from the esc.

I agree with rifraf, I've run this servo in my 1/8 for steering & it's been nothing but bullet proof. I'm thinking of trying the protek 130 servo just to try something different. Anyone have any experience with it?

Guess everyone's experience is always different

XP has been in my Mugen conversion for 5 or 6 months and I run my saver really tight. No issues for me. Haven't broken a hitec myself either but I haven't run one in year and hitec kinda stunk back then. Way before HV was out.

I like the idea of running a HV servo on 7.4 but wanted to try the XP. May go HV later since my rx can take it. Don't feel like I need more holding power than what the XP has... but then again I haven't felt 400+ oz/in either
