Also the lunsford Hotbodies D8 or Losi 8ight ti hingepins work when cut to length.

Fastener express sells aluminum screws in different colors.

I got mine down to 6.4# rtr by putting the EB48 chassis on it and trimming the side guards. Should be pretty easy to knock a couple more ounces off.
You can cut those trays down even more. Probably another ounce in the battery and radio tray. When we did our 'lightweight' setup, we trimmed them down to almost nothing .

for those guys having issues with the plastic hexes, is this after doing the set screw mod?

If it becomes big of enough of an issue, wonder if tekno will do a running change to alloy hexes but in the same diameter?

I wouldn't trust tower to have a kit for you. I backordered on 1/1 from tower. They showed in stock at one point and I still hadn't gotten an email from them. I cancelled and went with A-main.

I would guess Tower is still filling backorders and that stock status really doesn't mean SQUAT....

I like the Tekno pinions better, yes they are a little more money but they come with 5mm set screw

Did you trim the sides down? Have a pic? Was thinking I can get rid of the ESC shelf and mount it directly to the chassis.

What is the set screw mod? Are ya'll drilling the stock plastic hexes and making them locking hexes by adding set screws?

I ordered a losi high performance sct body for my sct410. Will the body mount holes line up perfectly or will I need to put new holes in the body? Some make it sound like it's a direct fit and other's don't. Just wanted to clear it up so I would know what to expect when my body shows up.
