Yep, I don't know if the fit of the new arms are any different but the 1st gen arms need a reamer ran through them to be smooth.
They should however fall with the shock spring pushing on them, is your droop setting in the front limiting how far they can fall?

I noticed when working on one particular arm even reamed well or better than the others, it would still bind basically by the location where the set screw for droop was, regardless if the screw was in there or not. It was basically like 95% good after really really working on it.
I'd contact tekno about it personally if its an issue and go from there.
Also, something to keep in mind that not all chassis slap is bad. Reason being is when talking to Marcus from RC Shox with my SC10 4x4 I commented on the oil weights being used and concern I had from the drop test. He said just run it and report back, and it handled better than ever. Real track performance trumps just the drop test, assuming that is what you are referring to.

If you tap your threads for the droop screws with a tap and die set, the arms will always be free.

For the last two years, I ran my SCT410 with a 15 tooth pinion on pro4 HD and VTX8 esc. This year, I switched the VTX8 out for a RX8 Gen2. What tooth pinion are people running with this setup (RX8 Gen2, Pro4 HD)?

I run the Gen 2 with the 4300 and an 18t pinion. It actually lowered my temps over the 17. I come off a 10 min practice at about 165 and its plenty fast to keep up with anybody else. .

How much timing do you have programmed into the RX8 Gen2 verses the VTX8 ESC? IMO talking about gearing without knowing the timing is a little dangerous.

Most of our guys with the 4300hd run a 17-18. I was talking about chassis slap off the face of the jump. I run the 6x1.5 and tried 25 wt oil and it kicked like a mule LOL.

I was running 12 on the VTX8. Only running 3 on RX8. I will probably go up one more tooth and remember to clear my log next time.

Are you running any timing with this setup? What size and type of track do you run on? Thanks.

This is a good tip. M4 tap I believe. Use a good ground tap, not a crappy flat black one. The teeth of the tap need to be sharp to cut plastic properly. You tap plastic dry by the way, no lube needed unlike tapping aluminum or steel.
