Put some chap-stick on the threads and it will be easier to adjust.
Good to hear you're Losi turnbuckle wrench isn't showing signs of wear, mine is getting tired after about three months of use. I like it, works good but it won't for much longer! I think this tool would be really nice if the alloy was just a tad harder, but that's just my opinion.

Don't skimp where it counts. There's a racer at our track who uses 10awg for battery to ESC connection. Probably a little bit of overkill, but better safe than sorry. I wouldn't use anything lighter than 12awg.
^^^^^This^^^^^ The last thing you want to see is your $1000 worth of short course truck in flames over a skimp on some wire. Hey you will get some more practice on your soldering at least.

Look for mini wrench sets on ebay. I picked up pretty much 2mm to 10mm for not much and they are MUCH more durable than RC tools.

i just got paid back. I would rather have the parts. They where selling parts on ebay, but I don't see them on there anymore. I see stuff for losi's but nothing anymore for a teknos. There stuff looks nice too. Oh well I guess.

What is the verdict for the Tekno Air control guards for large outdoor tracks?

Do they help with the parachute effect?

Do they make the truck handle better in high speed corners?

Are they durable?

If no to the last question ... Are there any aftermarket ones such as carbon fiber available?

I used them on the stock chassis but not any longer since I run the BCE chassis but when I did I honestly didnt notice a huge difference but I run indoors mostly as far as durability I never had an issue with them busting or failing in anyway. There are some carbon fiber ones out there I think they are listed on page1.

[QUOTE=Racerz27;13068660]Truck is near finished... Now I need to solder the motor and ESC. Great. I've soldered before. But never with RC stuff. What advice can I get from you guys? Do you mount the ESC and motor and solder it while it's on the truck? Or do you estimated how long the wire length will be and do it off the truck? I got the RX8 gen 2 and tekin HD 4300. I'm a little nervous doing this. Ha. I don't wanna mess something up[/

There is a great thread in here somewhere on soldering with videos and such. Also get on youtube Tekin has videos of soldering the RX8 u should def check that out first.

Mine is getting a bit of slop in it as well. Just seems to be Losi's claim to fame.
