I don't have any pics of it right now, it's in the middle of a rebuild. I do have a video of another truck I was running on 4s before we came out with the SCT410. Gives you an idea of the power delivery and speed. That was with the Venom 2500mah 50C 4s pack, the Neu 1509 2y 1800kv motor, and a MMPro.
I'm the one in front running the RTR Losi body.SDRC Raceway SATT - February 11 2012: Pro4 A Main - YouTube

Is anyone running a Hitec HS-8370TH? If so is the wire long enough to reach the Rx box?

It states that the wire length is 11.8" long, so yea it will reach the RX box. About 3wks ago out in a 5565 and has the same wire length.

Default Few thought.....

2s vs 4s not a debate to me really,
If you run on a 1/8 scale track run an 1/8 scale setup... Esc, motor battery etc...
If you run an indoor 1/10 scale track run a 2s, esc and motor.

Loved the carbon fiber chasis protector! Wish i had that when i built my truck.

The guy that posted his picture of his battery straps for the guy not asking the dumb question. (I'm gonna turn my around and remove the forward cross strap)
Put your transponder wire in the transponder hole on the aft side of the rcvr box.
Im scared your transponder wire is going to get into your gearing! please!

It's an older pic, that wire has been taken care of.
Thanks

For the 3s thing its not like its only an advantage to you. Others can run 3s as well. Once your rx8 blows up just spend your money on a howbbywing sctpro and the 3656 sd 3000 some aght kv motor and your not really in the hole to much. I'm really considering just buying the motor and a cheap 3s to test it out and see if anyone elase notices

Oh i got it dirty and I broke it too
I've been told many times how smooth I drive and rarely brake parts but I was getting smoked with that style in 4x4 open so I decided to drive it like I stole it and payed the price. I was going around a fast 90 degree sweeper and nailed the inside pipe elbow and the arm broke at the hinge pin. The dogbone came off and my day was over. People at the track couldn't believe the tekno broke but that's racing and I'm cool with that. Crazy thing is the hinge pin is perfectly strait and all I need is an a arm. My new mato......BALLS TO THE WALLS!!!!!!

That's about what it takes to break something, a hard direct hit at high speeds. Also it's that old saying that good guys finish last, but that's the way sct racing is becoming. Everyone is down to trade paint and some times it's a little too much.

So your saying the RX8 blow up alot then... or its a ticking time bomb.

I'm running a HW combo right now on 2s and have been for the for quite sometime.
I'm running the HWSCTPro and HW4700 and have not had any heat or thermal issues with the system. Heck I havent even seen it get over 150*

The Tekno SCT410 swept the podium at the 5th Annual Halloween Race at LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mills, PA this past weekend. I love my Tekno!!!

The 1st gen rx8s have a nasty habit of nuking for no good reason.
i run the exac same system as you with no complaints. i dont have a complaint with the sct pro and 4700 because it runs cool as long as there is a fan on the esc. which if you dont then its a ptoblem. my fan broke halfway through the last race on saturday and the plastic on the capasitors was malleable. Plus turnigy 3s batteries that can make a 10 minute main consistantly are cheaper than my 8200 mah spcs

Theres nothing wrong with the gen1 RX8. It has been the standard that all others were measured by since it came out.

Yes tekin rx8s have been the standard in power delivery. they have not been the standard in the amount of abuse they can take. I hvae watche 4 rx8 smoke in the past year and there was no cause that i would deam a reason to fail such as plugging a battery in reversed
