anyone have solid feedback on how the exotek lcg chassis performs? looks bling but too expensive to justify bling alone, IMHO...

I ordered mine, and it is very high quality. It's machined out of aluminum. everybody that has ran one loves it, it puts the weight down low and helps stabilize the truck.

It really is tons better with the insert.

+1 the rear end is much less prone to binding up with the strc rear hingpin holder

Default X12 4.5t

Is anyone running or tried the x12 4.5t motor?? I have this and a 550 4.5 tekin. The lrp is about half the weight and easy20% shorter.. I just got my truck together and will be installing motor tomorrow. I will be running a good size indoor clay track on Sunday, but rather than just throw in the tekin I was curious what results any got with the lrp 540 4.5t or any suggestions on gearing with it.. I feel the truck will be much more balanced with motor and should be fine with power for indoor track.. I'm using the sxx v2 esc also.. Thanks

Got to do the first test run with the saddles packs tonight.

When I post the pictures you will see I copied Cody's ESC & receiver layout .
Turned out just like his , looks great ...

*comparing to the standard 2s 5000 Lipo position in the middle of tray

saddle packs mounted forward have...

more ft pull & acceleration

more steering

less rear whip or roll

so far quite pleased with ...

next step ?

shocks & set-up & race Saturday night

Im running rx8 with pro 4 4000kv on my 4x4. Spur Gear 60/ Pinion 14. When I started driving my truck my temps were 140 ish. After a few races and 50 hrs of practice my temps hit around 185ish. I put a fan on top with a clean setup but the fan breaks after a few runs. Is my car under geared? I dont have enough space for a heat sink but im sure someone knows of a certain type bc the transmission case covers the motor.

I run on a high bite track thats a medium size. Any ideas??? Thanks

You will probably melt a 540 sized 4.5 down in a 4x4 SC. That motor would probably run very HOT.
