Cananyone give some pointers on how to reduce traction roll? Im running on a tight indoor track and am having a problem with traction rolling. Im already running fairly low ride height and have added spacers under my studs but im still rolling. I've got sway bars but don't want to go any stiffer or swap out tires because my truck is loose as it is.

Anyone?

I'm running 30,000 frt and 5,000 rear diff fluids. If I drop to 20,000 or 15,000 in the front will it help with top end speed. The truck handles great now and I almost hate to mess with the set up. The reason I ask is in our race on saturday I TQed and won the main but my buddy with a durango, who was late and missed the quals, had me by 15 to 20 seconds when he hit his lipo cutoff with only about 5 seconds left in the main. He runs a 4.5 trinity and run a 4.5 tekin scx. My truck looks to me like it handles better but he is killing me on power. I'm running 12/62 gears and going to try a 13 later this week, just worried about heat. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

p.s. I raced with the 2 stage pistons and g-discs for the first time on sat. Fast lap was a full second better and top 5 was at least that.

Loose but traction rolling????

What is your ride height? If the track is smooth you could add spacers inside the shocks to eliminate some down travel.

You can Throw in a Pro 4, those Durangos are light! Gear up and get a temp gun, you can go up to 170 ish.

Is the pro 4 that much faster? Since the kv is a little lower I am assuming that it can be geared up more because its a 4 pole. What gear do you run with the 4600?

I'm overgeared, I run 15/62, I need to be at 13 or 14

and the 4600 is a beast. I have the power turned down and the current limiter at 60% and it still is too much. Combine that with the throttle curve and timing settings with the RX8 and that Durango will not be able to keep up. I'm not sure what kind of track you run on but if speed is what you need this is the motor for you.

I'll be swapping down to a 4000.

don't buy a 4600kv, it's entirely to much for our trucks, take it from someone with first hand experience. the 4600 is a losi motor since they're so much heavier. the 4000 is plenty and is tame-able and more enjoyable. I run a 14/52 on my 4000 now.

Coyote: Thanks i still have the SC10 4X4 on my list though but il ask this if i run this truck on a rough track whould i be able to get away with just adding sway bars and changing the shock oils to a lighter weight and messing with the diff oils tires ? Oh and lets say i brake something while racing it will it be a pain to take apart ?

Like i was mentioning before i want a truck that doesnt require upgrades out of the box.

dif fluids have nothing to do with top speed, you need to go up to at least a 14. the truck is light, run for about 3min and temp it needs to be around 150 ish at that point which will end up around 170 in a race.
Glad the pistons and disc worked out for ya!!
