Yes please let us know how well the "PIN" mod works on carpet. I have a big race in November on Carpet and was curious if the pin mod would work better or worse than stock on carpet.

Default Reedy 306

Here is the Reedy 306 Layout

With 540 Ballistic and 4 OZ around servo about 50/50 front rear and left right.

Used Parma bumper foam to make spacer. Piece of cake.

Just waiting on the chassis brace.

Keith.

I would like to know the weight as well. I have thought about doing that since the packs are smaller and easier to get in and out.

for those guys asking about the diffs.. i know someone said it was 6 screws.. that is quite simply not the case..

here is what i did.. made it very simple to access the diffs..

1. Take of the bumper.. (4) screws..

2. under the bumper.. there is 2 screws that screw into the case..

3. take off the 5.5mm nuts that hold the shocks to the tower (makes moving tower easier)

4. there are (6) screws to take off, (4) front facing, and (2) vertical, this will allow the shock tower to fall out of place. i even popped off the captured ends, so the drive shafts are out of the way (helped with reinstalling diff) use the 5.5 nut driver, to press the ballends back on.

5. take off the clicker cover, and remove the clicker/slipper assy

6. (3) long diff screws that hold the diff together.. be sure to not lose the washers that are used here.

with the tower folded foward, the diff should come straight up. allready be apart. then of course reverse the build.

Sofar this has been the easiest thing to do without having to tear the whole front end apart. didnt take very long, less than 15mins i believe. also.. i have a small electric drill to pull the screws.. may take longer if you dont have this. also.. i do have swaybars installed.. and they do not need to be removed for this.. the tower simply folds, and rotates on the swaybar..

I just wanted to say that the SC10 is turning the corner, second race in a row, i smashed the single lap SC record last night(34.7, won the first qualifier and Symetricon won the second heat first round, and there was a full field of losi's. unfortunately rain hit us after that but the trucks performed very well and were easy to drive. i was lazy so i didnt bother setting up for this track as it was much different than the track last saturday. i needed thicker oil and better tires even still we were dominate. The RCpro finals are next weekend and this will be a true test for the truck and ME! lots of heavy hitters will be in attendance.

i went down to 4k front dif fluid and the truck is even better!!

what he said!^

last night there was 5k in the rear only because my dif cases wont be in until today. for tomorrow i will have yellow springs 1.1/1.2 V1 pistons and 4kF/R dif fluids, Sway bars were med frt and sml rear. will try and go up on both to see how it feels, to me the balance feels better with a smaller rear bar. i tried no rear bar last week and it felt good but laptimes were down.

2440 grams with no body. Jason races at Trackside tomorrow. Will see how it performs with this setup.

I am racing on a carpet off-road track this weekend too. Running Panther SC slicks. Will be testing the pin mod and as many diff fluid changes as I can get done in 2 hours of practice time.
