Get an airtronics m11x for a radio. Best radio out there by a long shot.

What most people do is cannibalize the plug by bending the tab inside the pin, requiring a needle to take it out, and breaking the tab in the process.

That is why I recommend the dummy plug instead of removing the wire

@SourDieselX: What's your budget for the radio? Lod, not everyone has $300 ready to be spared on a radio

Holy smokes Batman!!

That makes my plugs cry

Edit: What about running 20k in front diff and 7k in rear for a very tight track? I think 30k might take out too much steering (which trust me, is needed )

that would be my dream radio, but in all honesty, for one I have only one RC, so ultimately would it benefit me? I really considered the m11x for those who have multiple RCs.

Get more radio than you need. Always.

+1. I love my DX3r Pro. I sent Horizon a 3100 with a chewed up antenna and the BOARD of a 3300 - no case, no antenna, nothing (got it as part of a parts lot.) They sent me a brand new 3100 and 3300 free of charge. Granted, that was probably a 1 time deal, but they gained a customer for life with that interaction. I'm running 3300's in all of my electrics now with a motor temp sensor. Pretty handy to have the radio buzz me when I hit the 160 mark with my over-geared 17.5 stocker SC10.

If you want to keep the price down, pick up a used DX3S on here for $120 or so. Or a DX3C from stormer new with a receiver for $129.

Dont skip out on a good radio. The radio will outlast many of the vehicles you buy. If your on a budget look for a used airtronics M8. Still a very good radio to this day. I have had one since 2000 and it still works awesome. I Just keep mine as a back up in case something happens to my dx3r.

I had the same thing happen. What I did was cut the plastic case off nicely and solder the wires back on.

I like the DX3S radio. Has all the telementry options and has a ten model memory. Bought mine on ebay cheap. Check there as well.

You won't believe how much difference a good radio makes. You don't necessarily need an M11x, or 4PK, etc. Used M8 or used M11 can be had for a good price. Spektrum module and receiver for M8 works very well, I sold one I had a few months back. You can also find the older KO (Mars, Mars-R) with the Spektrum modules for a good price. Still a great radio, I have a year 2000 Limited Edition that I'll never part with.
