You guys do realize they call it a slipper for a reason?
Seems to be the number one problem with the truck, my kit is fine, fastest laps I've ever done with a SC! Mine slips for about a second on a wide open launch like it's designed to do. The thing is if it's slipping to much then shut it down and adjust it before your pads melt! I believe most of the slipper problems are self induced either from assembly or roasting the pads and then they come on here acting like AE needs to do something. It's a slipper, its designed to slip.

Same here.

My pads slip the necessary amount, when I land jumps, when I floor the throttle, and so on. And most of the time is a short 'skweek' and then it kicks full power again.

AE didn't do it wrong. Users do it wrong by putting too much power through the transmission.

Don't forget that the slipper also protects the transmission, especially the pulleys.

Edit: And it's nowhere locked. Maybe 4mm from shaft starting. No spacers, no washers, no nothing. Plain stock.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but did AE recently change their slipper pad material? My LHS had HD pads that were the usual orangish yellow and some "new" ones that were tan.

Ok, any insight? Are the supposed to be improved or is it just cosmetic or an economics change?

Hm, maybe that would explain my why slipper works so amazingly.

Double checked and it's at (!) 2.5mm.

My pad is orange-ish instead of the classic dull white-pale yellow colour.

Haven't run the truck yet, but they feel stiffer and more abrasive than the old "fuzzy" yellow ones.

The new ones are tan, not orange anymore.

No clue, then O.O

Probably it works because I didn't floor the throttle straightaway with a loosened slipper, causing it to degradate very fast?

Probably. In the hallway drag test with the stock slipper setup with the high torque tan pad on the outside and the stock pad on the inside the truck still wheelies and doesn't show any signs of slipping. May have a bit of the security deposit kept when ThunderbirdJunkie vacates these premeses, though, because of the minor grooves from the SS Enduros

Thinking about it, I'll get a set of the new pads, just in case mines want to slip too much.

Can ThuderbirdJunkie point out where did he get his set?

Sidenote:

So uh...any good ways to vent tires on the rims for those of us that are dumb enough to forget?
