Are these only available through Murfdogg's web site? It's a little hard to navigate and get even the info that you would be looking for...like what motors are available, and if there are any specs available for these motors... I'd kind of like to try one, just because I know everyone here is running Tekin, LRP, Neu-Castle or Novak... Be nice to put a little guy on top of the pile for a change...

I run the 540 5.5 at 93/14 with -5 on the timing and no timing on the speed control. I have gone as high as 93/16 but the tires will turn into giant rubber disc and its hard to drive around the sweeper and down the straight that way.

I doubt you'll notice any difference other than less money in your bank account. Over the years I have upgraded several cars with "better" shocks only to find out it didn't matter. Hope this helps. Probably not worth $80 to $100 you would be better off tuning the stock shocks with springs, oil, team pistons ect...

Your shocks should have come with some seals that look like bladders without the dome on them, they look like cut-out bladders. Replace these in your shocks instead of the bladders. Emulsion shocks typically have less rebound and give you a little more traction and more absorbent shock effects. From my experience they make the truck a little less prone to bounce after big jumps. Our track is a very big 200x75 ft, hard packed dry clay track, with large jumps and high grip Blue Groove. Given the conditions, our trucks go very fast and jump very far and always land on concrete-like dry clay. The emulsion shocks help land the brutal jumps better.

I have a tenshock sc401 4600kv 4 pole and mmp 4 sale should be perfect for this truck.

I have not yet tried the torque limiting setting, but that may be a good idea to prevent premature slipper wear.

That gearing gives you a theoretical top speed of 41Mph.... are you racing or bashing? How hot is your motor getting after 7-10 minutes of hard driving?
If 40Mph really isn't fast enough for you (assuming you are bashing....I don't know many tracks where much more would be very useful since the straights aren't usually long enough for more....) I would get the 58T spur and start over on your gearing...
If your truck isn't going anywhere near 40Mph (get your buddy to take you for a drive down the street while you drive your truck ahead or behind his car and watch his speedometer), I would check for serious binding in your drive train... running 16/62 should be pretty fast AND quick (that's the same gearing I'm running right now on my Tekin 5.5T 4000kv motor at a large offroad track with long straights...)
