underbody. just needs a little paint.

keeping my brand new Xerun 120A V2.1 speedo clean and dry.

good thing is that the motor is outside the underbody, so no theat from that component trapped under the body

hey guys i just ordered my sc10 4x4 on thurday and should get it mid week. this is my first electric truck since i was 13 lol. i ordered the f/r swaybars, 30k diff oil for the front diff, 5k for the rear diff. im planning on using 32.5 weight in the front and 25w in the rear. also i ordered a mama monster esc and a castle 1410 3800kv motor. for steering i went with the savox 1257 servo. now i also ordered a 14t 32pitch pinion. do you guys think this setup will work well? i got the mamaba monster esc because it was on easy pay, and the mmp was out of stock. do i need to use a glitch buster or bec with this setup? im using a futaba 4pks system.

thanks,

Dan

That is associated's overbody. I was impressed when
mine showed up with the vents and leaving the motor uncovered while providing some protection.

Your setup sounds rock solid, although i would go up to a 15t or 16t pinion.

I got a friend running that exact setup. he's got a 12 tooth pinion and can pull away from my 6.5 geared 13/60 on the short straights. long straights, I can catch him, but not to many of those at our track.
u should be good with the 14 for sure.

The AE truck IMO isn't, you really need to have some set-up knowledge and be willing to put in the time to find a set-up that works on your track. If you can do that then this truck can be as good or better than the others. If not, then it won't be and you will be disappointed...IMO
Plus the truck is still pretty new in the hands of the racers and many of the team drivers. Setups will develop and the truck will get better and better.

When the 2wd SC10 was released, I recall Slash drivers saying that it was too hard to drive and that they were going back to their Slash. Look how that turned out.

Tekin sc4x motor mount screws, which size do you folks use?

4mm seems more secured (but have to buy them)
3mm means have to move the mounting pts on the motor plate?

thx!

On my sc10 and my wifes both with the sc4x motors we are using the included 3 mm screws just fine. Just rotate the end to get the solder tabs pointing where you want them n

Shouldn't holes in the tires take care of the issue with plugging the holes in the rims? Or, do we still need to plug those holes?

Like a noob, I didn't center the servo (I know..tsk..tsk). Am I SOL or is there a way to adjust the servo mount without spending a day disassemble the car?
