I just used the stuff from my B44.1....I may even add more holes so I can shift the batteries toward the rear more......also if you notice I'm using screws under neath the belt is because I dont plan to remove the battery strap...I'll just remove the other side and then slide the pack under the belt over and pop it out....I tested it and it works great.

Looks awesome! Is that an after market battery holder? Looks like a carbon tray that surrounds saddles towards the bottom of the saddles.

Ya, what he said. Took me a few minutes to even find the reply box and I'm @1900x1200. I couldnt imagine what it would look like at 800x600.

So over the last few hours, I have read 100+ pages of this thread and I have come to a conclusion.... I must have built my truck completely wrong because it seems that I am the only person here that hasn't had a single problem with it. Truck runs flawlessly. I have performed basic maintenance a couple of times and have only had to replace one arm. 10k in front diff and 5k in rear diff with 35/30 respectively and the truck is on a rail. Got my ft sway bars at a lhs in the becoming of june and used blue in front and yellow in back. No t gonna hear any complaints from me... Sorry to disappointed you folks.

Good news....Optional springs are arriving from the vendor within the next few days!

Glad to see people are trying out saddle packs... The truck was designed for them....hence the removable battery wall. An AE setup is in the works.

So we're going to be seeing them in the next week or two hitting distributors and hobby shops?

Also, since everybody else is doing it, ThunderbirdJunkie has been playing around with saddle packs a couple weeks. Opposite theory, though.

About time you posted your saddle conversion TBJ......... Hows it been working out for you? If I were to do a saddle conversion it would def. be in the rear and not the front.......

Nope...you're not alone . I too have not had any issues with mine. Ran ~10 packs through it and checked everything. No slipper issue, no leaky diffs (OK, well maybe a TINY bit of seepage), no anything! Thats with the Castle 4-pole (1410?) motor on a moderate traction 1/8th scale track.

It took me a while to get it to handle the way I wanted it (probably not 100% there yet either) but with the front swaybar and running different tires front and rear it's really starting to come around!

I'm sure now that I've said that everything will go to he!! on me but so far it's surpassed my expectations for durability.

+1 for all of the below. Ultra durable, and after a bit of tweaking and tuning have got it handling real nice.

Now for a stupid fast motor upgrade.

So far, so good.

Still playing with stuff, but ThunderbirdJunkie is fairly certain he's going to stick wtih this setup. Obviously it's hack looking and needs to be cleaned up, but it's definitely got potential.
