SC10 4x4 Thread

Oh, I didn't know the rule was that they could advertise everywhere else on the internet except on rctech. They can go on selling aftermarket products then.
I guess no discussions allowed about anything other than AE and hot racing products on rcteck too? Everyone else is wrong.
You can run whatever you want, its your truck.
Others may be more open minded and want to try something that will improve the performance of the truck. There's more out there than what your flavor of the month is.
You keep finding the new best slipper but the ones that have tried the C-Diff haven't needed to change. They just watch as you search for something that will work as well as the C-Diff... but you don't know that's what your looking for since you haven't driven with it.

I don't even post put downs against your views or opinions do I ?
Back to the Sc10 4x4 would be all I'm interested in discussing if you don't mind ...

I prefer the plain old FT VTS 3 pad slipper with Garo disks. Nothing special, works just fine for me! I'm thinking the center diff won't make you like the truck if you dont like it now. For me this truck has been nothing short of amazing. It isn't for everyone but with the newer setups it's a blast!

I picked up an sc1044 in June read this thread front to back made my own conclusions on what after market upgrades to purchase experimented with setups and when all said and done ended up with a setup close to cains as far as after market parts minus the exotech chassis and found it to preform very well, ran Marcus base setup on outdoor med grip 1/10 packed clay track, ran last weekend on a med sized sandy/clay mix blown out track had a real good battle with a local losi hot shoe for second while my buddy ran away with the win driving his sc1044 this truck might not be the national champ but can easily win at the local club level with the right setup
Side note my buddies using the vts, I'm using the c-diff when I drive his truck it feels a lot loser and harder to square the corner and pull out of it hard but it works for him likely just a difference in driving styles or he has learned to adjust to it through practice
M2c toe block
Rcshox c-diff, dual stage pistons these three items brought me from the back of the pack in June to battling for podium positions in September

congrats.
Me personally, I think when you stop fighting the known issues that the aftermarket has moved to correct, you really get to enjoy the benefits of the truck.
And a lot of what the aftermarket has provided AE could as well, especially a rear toe in block system like they do for the rest of there vehicles.

Has anyone tried the SC10 4X4 LOCKED FRONT CLUTCH with the center diff?

Would it make a big difference to switch to saddle packs or short packs. Would it change the driving characteristics of the truck or should I just use the regular 2s pack.

Wouldn't work anyway. Exotek locked front clutch hub keys into the stock spur gear in place of the front slipper pad. Works great, but will soon be replacing my setup with the single best SC10 4x4 upgrade, the RC SHOX C-DIFF.

That's true, wouldn't key in, it would ride on the balls.

What is used in place of the FT outer slipper plate when
Switching over to the Cd? From what it says on the RC Shox
site,it will not fit...

Don't crash and you don't have to worry about a marshal that's slow or doesn't know what their doing

Drives great with the shorty.
jumps & landings are improved, accelerates better, can use a lower ride height for less chassis roll.
The saddle packs weight more.
Truck gains traction & stability.
Stick pack runs very smiliar to saddles except the trucks balance is not as good & steers a little less .
