Tekin has nice breakdown on what to use for 4wd 1/8 Buggy.

1350Kv in a 1/8 4wd buggy would be used on 6S lipo.

In general for 4S lipo, you go from anywhere between 1700Kv to 2200Kv for race level speeds and performance.

If you are looking for some 1/8 buggy motors imrob, shoot me an email, I got a Tekin 1700Kv and a 2050Kv that I have sitting here. Picked up the 1700Kv by mistake as I thought it was a truggy sized motor lol.

For 4x4 SCT on 2S, in general you can use Kvs ranging from 3500Kv to 5000Kv from what I have seen people using in race conditions.

Personally I like about 4000kv-ish on 2S.

+1, it can happen to any pack, think I seen packs ranging from Chinese ones to name brand ones like SMC, Reedy, Orion, etc that can have this happen.

SMC has great bullets and they have a long and short choice.
Also, next time look into SMC's packs. I'm confident that even their 5100 40c pack that's less expensive will have more punch and definately more life.

Update on my observations regarding the VTS slipper and RCShox Garodisc pads. I bought a SC10 4x4 when it first came out back in 2011. I liked the truck but the stock (non-VTS) slipper was subpar. It would slip under the extreme power of the new (at the time) 4 pole motors. Diff action was non-existent because I had to run it so tight, plus they would glaze over easily. Ended up selling it, but I picked up a FT version when they came out, mostly because of the enhancements (chassis brace, saddle setup) but also because of the new VTS slipper. The VTS slipper was a big improvement over the original but it still suffered from the same issue, it was inconsistent. I could not run it loose enough to get good diff action without risk of glazing the pads. I tried the Quad pad mod and again it was better but still you could glaze the pads if you ran it too loose, it was a fine line with no margin for error. I got a set of Garodisc pads and tried them out, I have to say they felt good, slipper action was very smooth, and best of all I could run my slipper loose to get diff action and not worry about glazing the pads. So in my opinion if you’re going with a slipper, go with the VTS and the Garodisc pads. That being said, I still feel the cDiff is better than any slipper for my setup and driving style. So I put the cDiff back in my SC10 4x4. But I was so impressed with the VTS/Garodisc pads I put it in my X-Factory SCX-60CF where it is working great.

VTS Quad pads slipper in my SC10 4x4

Testing the VTS with Garodisc in my SC10.2 will be going in my X-Factory SCX-60CF

Uh, he said the C-DIFF is better than any slipper for his setup and driving style.

By the way, I've been doing my own testing too fellas. Made my own set of pads with beef jerky. I bet they perform more betterer than the other crop of discs cuz my boy band teammates run them too. Wtf ?

I'm sold... I'm a big fan boy of beef jerky... where can I get some of those pads?! BTW they still won't replace the C-diff in my SC10 4x4... but they will be nice to have in the tool box... for when I get hungry!
