Either hub will work, why spend the cash on exotek if what they have is already working just fine. I put the exotek hubs on mine but I didn't have the B4 mod. Im happy so far....

Standard kit hub packs the most bang for the buck for sure ...

Metal stronger though , and can use grub screws to secure the pin for less play and do make for great eye candy

Not like I condemn using or trying ...

Like a set myself for the PINK in fact ....

Just think it's important to know there's a hub with ears to also consider...

Cain, your advise and help are a very helpful part of this thread. Stay put and keep on helping.People always find things to say and nobody ever gets along with everybody else but most people who read thru this thread hear both sides and make up their own minds ...either by trial and error or crash and burn. Ultimately everyone is responsible for their own truck....let people listen and try things ......its a great thing to have options!!

What seem to be the general conciseness on a shock oil weight to use. I have the big bores with the bleeder on top and will be racing on a outdoor track with loose dirt. Any help would be great guys.

My sc10 4wd is probably gonna be the funnest R/C I own.
I'm probably gonna make it brushless first the buggy can wait.
I love the buggy class thou, hence why I bought a B4.2 Factory Team.

My vote is for Cain to stay in the thread,
he's just as helpful as you George Cherry.

If you can ignore the bad posts the thread gets cleaned up alot.

I've got a question, I bought the exotek shock caps but they didn't put the tiny little bleeder hole near the threads, why I dont know but I like emulsion style shocks a little better. But I built them as usual with out bladders and they seem to work pretty good.i cant find any info. I filled them up to the brim and gave them a few pumps and backed off the bleeder screw and heard air come out. Is this correct?

All this talk has got me planing for a run with the Sc 4w soon.
Been running 2w & 4w bug for almost a month now.

Red

Suggest doing just like your been ,cept donot pump up the shock before.
fill the shock to top with oil, pump piston up & down to clear air.
Shaft fully extended ,install cap with bleed screw removed.
Push piston to top bleeding excess oil. Then install bleed screw.

I got my sc10 out on the track for the first time today, I still have a few things to work out on the setup, but I have a question. I hear a skipping sound I think from the belt. Then the truck just bound up, The front belt went off the pulley. It keeps doing it, so I found that the tightener pulley's lip cracked, I am going to replace it, but does the diff bind in the front of these or something causing the belt to skip or does tightening the tensioners too much cause binding and issues.

I am kinda at a loss, I need this reliable for this weekend.

btw I am in a really high bite condition, and the skipping is worse on power out of a turn.

Sounds like the front tensioner could have been on backwards possibly It can only go one way for correct alignment, I cant remember witch way it goes but check that out. I know the belt will be offset a little if it's backwards.

I'm not sure but it probably wouldn't leave much room for electronics. I have seen dual 3.7v shorty packs used sidways just like saddle pack layout. Some people are running a stick pack up the middle with some chassis mods. The saddle packs work pretty good on the team setup. Im running stock FT and im pretty content. Check it out here.
